How long do you want to ignore this user?
Just checked our mail and there was a brochure addressed to The "students" of the ----- family. It's the Texas Trans and LGBTQ student resource guide.
It specifically addresses the students and tells them to seek a "safe adult" such as counselor, teacher, friends parent, or therapist. No mention of an actual parent.
The website is transtexas.org/resources
I'd love to know who funds this. Our children are in their 30's and have long since moved out. So I'm assuming it was addressed to anyone they had an address for.
Anyone ever hear of this org or get this mailer?

Safe adult = someone that agrees with a "trans" agenda. The most prudent recommendation is to consult with a qualified mental health professional (specifically, an individual possessing a medical degree) and obtain a comprehensive mental diagnostic assessment.

Agreed, but you need a background check on the medical professional as best as you can do to ensure they aren't morally bankrupt and pushing trans as some sort of solution as well.

I got the text and one of my mom's friends got the mailer. The return address is a UPS store in Meadow's Place, TX(tiny municipality in Houston area). The trans group says it wasn't them. Will be interesting to follow this as it unravels. I will note that everyone I talk to that has received the texts has been a registered republican. Could be a psy-op to get people freaked worked up ahead of the mid-terms!

According to Trans Education Network of Texas, these are fraudulent mailers, (or maybe a false flag operation). I'll reserve judgement until I see how much money they raise off of this.

Their 501(c)(3) status was revoked in 2021. https://explorer.tax990.com/organization/263243093

Could it be a political stunt? Yes.

But only because it's not these Dems sending it.

Not because it isn't an entirely accurate representation of what Talkscreepo and the rest of them believe about transing kids without their parents knowledge or permission

This is one of two things:
  • Mail and text messages are being sent by someone pretending to be a somewhat obscure trans organization to stir **** up during the election since Republican messaging seems to be have a strong focus on "Trans! Trans! Trans!" right now and to convince people they believe would oppose anything "pro-trans" to go harass the organization; or
  • It's a false flag by the trans organization and they are sending this stuff out to an unfriendly audience to stir **** up, then publicly claiming it is someone pretending to be them so they can play the victim, raise their visibility, and raise money off of it.
In either case the efforts appear to be working. What doesn't make sense to me about the first possibility is the idea that an opposition group or person would spend real money producing a slick, tri-fold mailpiece and sending text messages out to try to go after a trans organization. Surely someone like that would have enough connection to people like Jeff Leach or Brian Harrison to get them to go after the organization without spending a dime.

If it's a false flag by the org, it's a pretty big risk to take just to raise money, but this is what I suspect is happening.

ETA: I also received the text messages.

Could be 1, originating from someone wanting to stir up Republicans that might have been planning to sit this election out to get to the polls and stop the trans folks from corrupting the state.

Never underestimate the power of fear to motivate the electorate, and there are plenty with deep pockets who could pull this off.

According to their fellow liberals, no Texan belongs here, only the Comanche, Waco, and other indigenous American nations belong here.

True. Are there lists of primary voters? Could this be from donor lists?

You can absolutely assume someone's party affiliation based on which primary they voted in, which is public record.

Donor list are too tedious to cull for something like this. My guess is it is aimed primarily at white men with R voting history.

If the lists are in a text file, it's a trivial task to feed that into an AI, and have it sort based upon the criteria one desires.

Donor lists are generally not publicly available in that format. They are typically in PDF format from finance reports. Voter lists, however, are easily available and can be culled with a few mouse clicks. The org is too lazy to sort through donor data, but definitely has the ability to pull voter lists. They are also hurting for money right now, from what I understand. This all just seems way too convenient.

ETA: Donor lists would not explain my receiving the texts, unless they pulled finance report data from Bob Dole and John Culberson, which is exceedingly unlikely.

You can get federal donor lists with name and addresses in an Excel format

ETA: You can also convert PDFs to Excel fairly easily as well.

Is it really a "false flag" if it accurately represents exactly what the organization represents and believes? Sounds like they're mad that the truth is being told.

This is a great idea btw. Major props to whoever came up with this.
