At least SS recipients, who just got helicopter-dropped money into their checking accounts, will get a 3.6% raise next year.

Meanwhile, the workers covering that SS increase are watching their wages get further debased. Another octogenarian president promoting economic policy that steals from the young and healthy to buy votes of the old and fat.

Do you disagree with decimating Iran's conventional missile stockpile so that they could hold the ME hostage while they built nukes?

Glorious Leader declared we already did that back in summer of '25. Let me guess though, "what he akshuallllllyyyyyy meant was..."

building materials have gone up for sure, but nowhere near the price they were during peak covid.

I was selling 7/16 OSB for $56 a sheet during covid. Now it's running about $10
20 years ago I worked at Lowe's while in college and OSB was $6ish a sheet.

Coming from Trump's hand picked guy on not AOC/Bernie left leaning Fox News?

Oh the tweet will be an epic one I'm sure.

here is the report referenced:
https://libertystreeteconomics.newyorkfed.org/2026/10/how-fast-do-tariffs-pass-through-into-consumer-prices/

Quote:
In this post, we present results from our new research paper that estimates the effects of the 2025-26 tariffs on retail consumer prices. We find that for every percentage point increase in average tariffs, consumer goods prices increase by about a quarter of a percent after one year. Roughly two-thirds of the effect arises because tariffs raise the prices of imported consumer goods. The remaining third arises indirectly: tariffs increase the prices of goods made in the U.S. because producers pay more for imported parts and materials, and because producers raise their markups when competing imports cost more. The effects differ in their timing. Prices of imported goods respond quickly to tariffs, while prices of U.S.-made goods adjust over six to twelve months as higher costs move through the supply chain.

Which is something every first year economics student can tell you. I honestly think Trump never attended class when he got his degree in "economics".

which war are you talking about that Trump started?

We bombed the crap out of their nukes in June 2025. In March 2026, we bombed the crap out of their ballistic missile stockpile that they were amassing to overpower our anti-missile defense systems.

Which of these do you disagree with?

We decimated their ballistic missile stockpile.

Then Iran decided to try and hold the straight hostage.

Definitely not great.

Kind of hard for them to be a threat when 1) they had no nukes anymore and 2) nobody thought their missiles were a threat to us since they couldn't reach us.
Basically Trump went in hoping for regime change because Israel said it would be as easy as Venezuela. They lied.

The Green New Deal that didn't pass? How is it impacting inflation?

Much of the original GND legislation was repackaged into the "Inflation Reduction Act" which had nothing at all to do with reducing inflation.

Guess you missed that era in history.

And higher inflation was always going to be an outcome of this increase in spending. It was a trade-off Trump was willing to make. Trump had been calling on the Fed to lower rates, even suggesting rates be moved to below 0%, during the second half of 2019. He finally got his wish, for lower rates and higher spending, in March 2020.

Yes, a simple trade off: let the people starve or spend money to prevent it.

And Biden had no choice not to claw back that money to mitigate it. /eye roll

Thank goodness we can count on democrats easing the inflation/affordability burden on Americans by raising our taxes, increasing fuel standards on cars and trucks, increasing regulation, impeaching Trump and putting men in girls bathrooms and in women's sports!

One of the main reasons why Iran is still pressing is that it knows it hurts the GOP mid terms. IT would be much worse with a presidential election looming.

They were well within range of our bases in the Middle East. And they were obviously lying about their capabilities as we saw when they sent missiles to Diego Garcia 2,500 miles away.

The tariffs were idiotic own goals and Trump deserves all blame for the negative impacts of those. Attacking Iran came with costs but at least there's a long term benefit in disabling a terrorist regime.

That graphic was created after Trump's first 18 months in office. If you include the last two months, he's up to 6.1%. if you are to assume the same average CPI over an entire four years, then it's 14.9%.
