That graphic was created after Trump's first 18 months in office. If you include the last two months, he's up to 6.1%. if you are to assume the same average CPI over an entire four years, then it's 14.9%.

So he's actually higher than Bill when you add math to this?

You guys are so short sighted…

Honestly, our dominance and global dollar driven economy is tied to oil. Cannot allow Iran to control the Middle East, the Strait and all the oil producing countries in the region.

"Oh let's let China and Russias main ally control the middle east and all the oil that insures American economic dominance"

Nobody wants to go to war, but sometimes you kinda just have to do what you have to do.

Wait until you see what we're gonna have to do to China to win that one and how much it's gonna suck.

The United States is not going to roll over for China.

The only way we lose to China and Iran is because of American women and weak men who track quarter percentage percentages of inflation and then whine because they're poor and ill prepared, I guess.

So then we should be fine since Trump and the right are in charge, not women and weak men.

I mean, we aren't by the metric of numbers and the war that we still haven't won against a country living not too far from the stone age, but still, Trump and his best people should be able to get us to the golden age eventually. They've had two years, so maybe in the next two?

But to be fair, let's not put all the blame on Trump's war. I mean, we can't leave out Trump's tariffs out of the conversation, because even before Trump's war, "affordability" was already the catch phrase haunting the right. Trump's war that he can't seem to end just keeps kicking affordability to whole new levels of relevancy in the average Americans life.

Tariffs did very little to raise prices. People were still mad at the Biden era increases and the fact that prices didn't return to what they were before, which was never going to happen.

I think the Iran conflict been going on for months.

Don't get your knickers all up in a bind.

I don't approve of everything that Trump does.

In hindsight, there was a better way to do this but we are doing it and it's not a simple thing and it might take a hot minute bro so you may wanna like chill out.

Honestly, I think everybody operates on the wavelength of a 12-year-old girl and just expects everything to magically immediately happen.

We have fought forever wars in the past for basically no return

This conflict ensures American dominance in the region for a generation IF WE WIN. The IRGC and the Islamic Republic have got to go. At minimum, they must be isolated and they cannot achieve a nuclear weapon.

It's been less than a year, bro.

For political reasons though, people like you will undercut the effort and make sure that America loses.

The only way we lose is because of the American public being as weak and whiny as you.

I don't know if you're well to do or not, doesn't really sound like it, but the average family that is fairly well to do will spend upwards of $2000 a month on food and gasoline.

Meaning they will spend $24,000 a year on those items

Assuming the absolute highest rate of inflation we're talking about this costing you $2,400 annually.

Are you so broke, unprepared and poor you can't sustain $2400.

Honest to God, if your portfolio hasn't doubled or tripled due to tech alone in the last five years, then that's your own fault.

Yeah, I think everybody is past the concept of two decade long regime change and country building wars.

That was obviously mistake and nobody's down for that.

Dealing with slight discomfort in order to cripple a regime is worth it.

I don't care if Iran becomes the new Libya, Afghanistan or whatever **** hole it becomes.

I would like them to do better and become a free and prosperous country again, but that's kind of up to them and I don't think anybody here is proposing that we do it for them.

The only thing that is a requirement is to isolate them and to make sure they don't get a nuclear weapon.

Regime change through economic collapse is a worthwhile goal.

I get what you're saying, but it's still far too short sighted.

Sometimes the adversary doesn't make reasonable decisions.

The IRGC has shown a willingness to bleed its own people far more than anyone reasonably expected.

It's taken a bit more effort. That's true, but again it's still pretty damn minor.

If you're super worried about diesel prices, then you should be pretty upset at Ukraine as Russia is the world's largest Diesel manufacturer and they keep ****ing up their refineries.

Houthis causing problems in Red Sea. Which is Irans doing but you act like it's all 100% Trumps fault and the adversary has no say and should just roll over.

I do know that if Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon and they stop funding terrorist networks throughout the Middle East then that would be a good thing.

But you know what because things don't always go 100% like people hope that they will and what they campaign on means that you should whine a lot and cause as much political destabilization as possible.

America is full of absolute weaklings and mentally inept people and we will be our own undoing.

Ultimately, the numbers are pretty damn small when you consider the alternative.

I don't think we disagree so much as you're looking at the immediate cost and I'm looking at the long-term cost

You are absolutely correct that there is a short-term cost

I view it in the sense of what is the short term cost versus the long-term cost of the collapse of the petrodollar & American globalization.

Pennies on the millions.

No, I was actually pointing out that you could argue the actual terminology and how it's applied to two different things.

But to be honest rising gas prices due to supply disruptions is not inflation by definition and labeling any actual inflation transitory is sort of ******ed as well.

But since we are pissing all definitions, not sure much of it matters.

It's amazing how nuanced you are when it's "your" guy.

Muslims doing a damn fine job of conquering the UK and France as we speak with full on systemic, national rape scandal in the UK. I'm sure it's the same in France.

Doesn't hurt to be proactive here although instead of focusing on Iran I would be working contingency plans for getting nukes out of UK and France and deporting most Muslims out of this country.

Yes blame the American people for loosing to Iran. The American people that struggle to fill gas tanks and pay taxes to support Illegals. We should have supported Israel harder we wouldn't be in the mess.
