Dude ain't getting shot anytime this year unless he takes extraordinary efforts to waive his appeals and hasten his own execution. As I understand it, his federal habeas petition hasn't even been filed yet, and the subsequent litigation will delay his execution by months to years. Quite possibly until Trump is out of office.

I assume they'll move him out of the 10th Cir. Since it seems like he'll be shot at fort hood, the "safe" place would be in N.D. Tex. Amarillo division. Habeas petition will go over like a cow fart in the wind and 5th Cir. Will not care.

Believe there is a 60-day wait required by law, hence December 3rd.

I just learned that there are only 7 inmates currently on federal death row: 3 civilian and 4 military.

After reading a little on their cases, they all need to be purged.

But, if I may offer a devil's advocate response, is solely it entertainment?

Surely there are some sick people who may be entertained by it. There's always those people in every society. They are blights on the societies they infest.

But, is it possible that many people in this country long for justice, however distasteful it may be? That they have had to watch evil, corruption, murder, and a million other depravities go unanswered for so long that this might be something more than just entertainment for them?

because it's just and people who love this country want to see justice executed in this day and age. And to say he gets attention, he'll be derided by most freedom loving people. After he dies he will be awaiting Hell once his spirit leaves his body (the ultimate justice). I don't think he'll have too long to "gloat" before he realizes the eternal punishment he will experience for his crimes. Honestly I wouldn't want to be in his shoes. He's in for a horrific future.

The people watching this will overwhelmingly be populated by individuals that find it entertaining that claim they're watching it to see justice done. Shoot him. Toss him in a ditch. Throw dirt on him and be done with it.

All this does is convince the people that think like him that he was important. It also convinces others that the U.S. is degrading into a state where the difference between them and us is no longer significant.

Shoot a guy in a wheelchair for entertainment is going to be the dominant commentary about this.

Well, the last public execution in Texas was in 1923. The last public execution in the US was in 1936. Before that it was relatively common.

The progressive left really won the war when they took over the education system and decided to quit teaching history and civics. The idea that before recently politics was some genteel game that was played by men of honor who were upstanding and that society was somehow polite and wasn't an absolute shtshow is mind numbingly stupid.

The beauty of things is that if your stomach is too queasy to watch, you don't have to. I know that concept is absolutely unbelievably difficult for many to comprehend or grasp, but it remains true just the same.
