Plenty, but most are garbage.

Although based on a book, Project Hail Mary was original and very good.

Looking at what is coming out for the rest of the year, not much looks good. Always possible there is a sleeper out there like Obsession.

Godzilla Minus Zero, despite being a sequel, will be awesome because its freaking Godzilla.

Jumanji: Open World will likely be just a fun movie to see, and it has Karen Gillan rocking the Ruby Roundhouse outfit one last time.

Zero A.D.: The Birth of Christ could be good. (Not referring to the subject, but quality of production. The subject is always good.)

Will wait to see what people say about Avengers: Doomsday. (Yes I know its a comic book movie.)

2027 has a few good ones that aren't remakes, comic books, or sequels.

Another tragic change which makes it clear Greta wants to remake narnia in her image is to move magicians nephew to the 1950s which would make a TL****W set in something like the 90s. Hey Greta remember why the were sent to where the Wardrobe was in the first place. It contextually changes the whole story

I recently saw a great interview with the Cambridge Literary professor Malcolm Guite where he described the postmodern trend of "deconstructing" everything and it is done to the point where all original meaning is stripped from the story. I'll add the link to that interview later but I highly recommend it. Guite is a modern day bard, one of the best story tellers you will ever hear.
