Yeah because a guy ordered like 20 things and then didn't eat any of it. They shut down the last meal program for everyone else out of some pseudo righteous indignation.

If I'm remembering correctly, the state didn't even pay for the last meals. They were paid for by volunteers who bought the groceries and one guy who cooked the meals. They wanted to keep the program going.

Could we have a name mix up and get a LeBron while we're at it?

I wasn't at A&M yet, but know a lot about Terry Washington, dishwasher who murdered the manager at Julie's Place (later rebranded as Bombay Bicycle Club) in 1987. I went to work there in early 1989. The assistant manager and bartender (Vietnamese refugee brother and sister) who left about an hour before the murder still worked there when I started and became friends. Washington stabbed the female manager 85 times and stole $650 from the safe. His execution in 1997 got a lot of press because of his low IQ.

For the system to really become efficient, tie the release of violent criminals to the judges that allow them out and if there are repeat violent offenses, that cuts into the judge's pension/benefits. Imagine if the idiots who let these guys off with a lighter sentence had to worry about it actually hitting their pocketbooks, then you'd see a lot more true justice, instead of the virtue-signaling leftist justices we seem to see all too often now.
