Seems a bit surrender monkey on Johnson's part given the uncertainty over the mid-terms.

but I guess this is where we are. of course, the radical judiciary is still showing up for work each day

Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

Must be nice! They should vote really quick to give themselves a raise for all the hard work they do.

The less they do, the better.

Congress should be a part time job like it once was.

If they're not going to work for us, they shouldn't be getting paid by us.

While I would generally agree, there's a lot they need to undo before they go on a tax-payer funded vacation.

Dems want to impeach anyone who checks the boxes of loving America, hating our enemies and possessing the balls to take action.

See the decade of TDS.

I'm actually glad they will be out of session. They wouldnt' have gotten anything good done and it takes away potential Democrat narritives to use between now and the election.

I wish the U.S. Congress was like the Texas Congress and only met for 6 months every other year. We would all be a lot better off.

No wonder they never want to leave Congress. They work about 3-4 months a year, get wined and dined, get all swampy and rich, never answer to their constituents. It's a pretty sweet gig.

"These people" = repubs + dims?

Because the dims are worse than useless. They're downright destructive.

Trump"s second term had all the stars lined up. Now rolling into the midterms what have been the results?

A million executive orders signed and very little to NOTHING accomplished that is lasting through the legislative process.

What have they accomplished together? A strong pace to help Trump break 50 trillion in national debt before he leaves office

Trump, Thune, and Johnson are the Republican leaders that have got things where they are today.

And it'll be AFTER the elections, and only of Republicans win, that the fruits of those votes will be there.

Yes, Republicans have been in charge for almost two years now, but THIS time people will get what they voted for, just after the next election, and only if Republicans win, again.

That and two weeks and all.
