This was about 1972 or so - I kept my eyes on the road - lots of folks had their eyes on my buddy and me.

Are those blades held by the assailant 4 inches long or more? Looks close, but that's banned in public in NYC. Also, they (obviously) aren't concealed; it's illegal to carry a blade less than 4 inches unless it's concealed. Also illegal to carry a switchblade or any kind of knife that can propel the blade out of the handle.

I really don't care that she's dead, because I think she deserved it and I won't lose any sleep over it.
However, I think I'd feel differently if she hadn't already stabbed someone and was just a crazy person waving a knife around.

I wonder if we should bring back billy clubs and give officers more latitude to use them without consequences., since the alternative to getting beat with a club is to be shot dead. I would think that 8 able-bodies officers with billy clubs would have no problem subduing this woman without having to shoot her. Seems like tasers may not be as effective as we'd hoped. I would think that both the victims and the cops would go for that scenario since both sides would rather not have people getting shot. I know I'd rather have big bump on my head than be dead.

I don't think some of y'all know how dangerous a knife can really be. One slip up by the cop while trying to take her down with some kind of hand to hand combat, and he's got a severed artery and is bleeding out in minutes.

Come on, cop feels his life is threatened or someone in public is threatened, then said cop gets to use lethal force until threat is neutralized. End of story.
