His text to us I think says it best......"(his wife) watched from home. she didn't particularly enjoy the fighting but the patriotism and the masculinity evoked TR's philosophy on life and was an extraordinary contrast to the drag shows the previous administration held on the lawn the same weekend.

UFC 250 at the White House was a fantastic event for President Trump's 80th birthday and the Army's 251st birthday. This was a very packed sports weekend with NBA Finals, NHL Finals, College World Series, World Cup games, and UFC 250.

Absolutely the single best night of fights I can remember. A wrestle-thon that ended in decisions would have been a major black eye for the brand, but it could not have gone better for Uncle Dana.

What I meant to say is that I heard on Sunday night there was supposed to be a fight on the Whitehouse lawn, but that it was in a weather delay. I had no idea it was part of some broader 21st century Caligulan spectacle.
