I'm amazed they gave this interview. I mean if you told me it was a joke I would have completely bought it. The smugness. The complete lack of vetting. Laughing it all off. These are 2 Ivy Leaguers btw and they sound like complete idiots. Just a train wreck in motion.

Weird a.f. people. They seem high. And Platner is a phoney candidate and a genuine Nazi. The one blessing is that Platner burned almost all of the left's tired rhetoric about the Right: Nazis, white guys, pervs, abusers, rich folk, toxic masculinity, liars, believe all women, etc. Can't play those cards anymore. Thank you, Herr Platner.

Does the guy with the beard have something wrong with his vocal chords, or is his voice so high because of all the excess estrogen in his body?

Just my opinion, but if someone were to beat Platner dead on a sidewalk at night, I doubt there would be more than a dozen people that would mourn him.
The definition of 'vile' in the dictionary would have his picture next to it.

So Platner is a candidate they recruited from a casting call, like AOC?

There has to be more back story on that.

Also, regarding the beard guys voice, it's more annoying than RFK jrs.

Well, they certainly can't run soys like that guy, the party is full to the brink with them. They want to run somebody they aspire to be, and someone the liberal women will think is dreamy.

So you have to run a search to find that unicorn. Turns out the unicorn has a lot of baggage, but he was the best they could come up with.

Was going to say the same. Wasn't she basically picked from a casting call?

How do these states pick a complete weirdo to run for US Senate? So strange that they can't field a normal, respectable, decent person with experience. Surely they can do better. I'm not sure which is the worse candidate, platner or Talarico. lol

Platner and Talarico are both leading in the polls, despite all of their crazy being out in the open. Western civilization is truly hosed.

Is that an AI video? Hard to believe those people are that detached or that they would be stupid enough to do that intervi.

Elections are about choices. Just because a certain candidate is leading doesn't mean their views align with their constituents. Just means their constituents like them better than the alternative.

If someone better than Paxton ran, they would be beating Talarico by 25 points. I for one will have to hold my nose to vote for Paxton.

Another example, look back at 2010 senate races. Republicans could and should have won Connecticut (Biden's old seat, Coontz still has it) and Nevada (unseated Harry Reid). But the GOP ran a literal witch (Connecticut) and an absolute idiot (Nevada) gifting those races to the dems. The candidate still matters.

Polls in June are worth about as much as preseason sports in college sports. Second, after five months of Paxton using Talarico's own words against him he'll lose by probably 8-10 points. Nothing about Talarico screams Texas. This isn't going to be a close race.

Regarding Platner as feckless as Collins is losing that seat to an actual Nazi would make for great political theatre. Don't want to lose that seat but it would be entertaining.

Drop the Bartender trope. She's from a well to do family, was raised in an agreement neighborhood, went to the nice schools, and has a degree in economics.

This video also proves you can go to Harvard and Yale (where these folks did) and still be a moron. Schools like that have a significant number of admits based on being social justice warriors or simply being rich and connected.

Thoughts

1) We've reached a point in this country where people are no longer ashamed of their immorality and will go even so far as flaunting it. According to the whiny liberal these people are more real.

2) Electing leaders who range from mentally disturbed to outright psychopaths and criminals, people who are just plainly wicked and self-serving will lead us further into chaos and ruin.

3) Get your popcorn.

Yes, the Ivy Leagues are an absolute joke for an actual education. And they know it themselves which is why they are starting to bring back entrance exams again. They are clown schools.

I have stated many times in the past that an Ivy League education isn't about the subject matter. It is about the connections. Generally speaking, most colleges are this way

Not quite, there are definitely some brilliant people there and if you don't have connections or fit a social agenda you have to be truly exceptional to get in. They thrive on exclusivity. Once you take out the politically connected, big donors, and social justice agenda folks though they end up with a small batch of true admits on merit and those folks tend to have insane qualfications that the other folks can ride off of the value they create in their degree.

I don't doubt they still get a small group of elite kids (like almost every other school does), but their curriculum is a joke once they get there. Massive grade inflation and no rigor is what they are known for now.

They've had to cap A's because everyone gets an A for showing up.

And we now have reports lately of large numbers of Ivy freshmen who can't do basic math as an example. That was the trigger for at least one school to reimplement the SAT / ACT.

Her CV may say educated, but none of it sank in. She's a dope. She is completely unable to pattern match questions and situations to things she should know (given the degree she supposedly earned), and then draw upon that knowledge to formulate a coherent response.

If she has prepared for a question, she gives a fluffy answer with no deep analytical content. If she hasn't prepared, the answer is wince-inducing. You feel like you're watching the South Carolina beauty pageant answer: the realization that you don't know the answer, followed by a deer in the headlights look, followed by incomprehensible nonsense. Her answer to the Taiwan question was the worst response I've seen a politician give in a long, long time.
