And drinking sweet tea on the porch with pervo paw paw.

Even then oddly the ice tea is by paw paw and not where Clamhands could reach it. Maybe science does not allow his cold wet hands grabbing a similarly cold wet glass.

Probably just has paw paw chest feed him.

Talarico scrubbed his website of his controversial takes to HIDE who he is. But the Republicans captured it all and his YouTube sermons. I suspect there will be an onslaught of his own words in ad after ad.
And Talarico is running YouTube ads saying those are "deep fake" videos created by Paxton.

Absolutely lying through his teeth.

He's counting on people being naive or stupid enough to buy it.

But you know…integrity and stuff…Paxton's a crappy husband and mean attorney…yada yada yada.

Abbott led the charge the day after the democratic primary. There were tons of videos dropped within a week and he said don't worry we have a lot more when he was talking about Talarico. Looks like James forgot the internet is forever. You can delete but it can be brought back to life. Ask Fauci.

Dems and their PACs are spending money they don't have right now. It's a bootiful ting. Let's enjoy the respite from attack ads that are surely coming Labor Day weekend going forward.

Paxton wins by double digits as the Rs push the lead in the senate to 55+.

The Dems had to spend a lot of money after the primary to even introduce Talarico to Texans. I bet 90% of people didn't know who he was or his socialist views. That's not the case with Paxton. This is his 4th state wide race.

I don't know if Cornyn was much better, but he was the status quo and I believe the negative aspects of Talarico would have put Cornyn 5-10 points up instead of having more negative aspects of the Republican candidate that puts him 3 points down.

The biggest difference between Cornyn and Talafreako is that Tally Man doesn't lie as much about who he is.

And claiming the false prophet of the left is up 3 requires willful disbelief of simple facts, and acceptance of things like the 600 LV A&M Sienna poll as accurate, etc.

I am not a big polymarket believer but would note it flipped in favor of Paxton this am at some point anyway.

I guess we should let Democrats just enjoy their moments of pre-season joy as Aggie football fans we are all used to doing. November is coming though. 'This year, we're gonna win it all. I can feel it.'

There is a bunch of hand-wringing and pearl clutching happening on F16. The clear signs are that Talarico has momentum and Paxton does not. How much momentum is needed as a leftist to flip a republican statewide office is the variable to watch. That momentum might be indicated by Polymarket/Kalshi.

Momentum with who? Affluent white liberal women and their soy boy husbands? With the trans community? With DSA supporters in other states? Who is he picking up support from?

I don't think the Blacks and Browns are signing up to door knock for a nonbinary puss who hangs out with pervo paw paw.

Not really, both markets can be easily manipulated by a handful of gambles/bets placed, which is why they aren't particularly useful. I think a discussion is warranted. On Polymarket, $423K has been placed on Paxton to date, with media declaring he is going to lose over the past 3 weeks, vs. $390K on Talarico. So, even the coastal elites aren't putting real money on the latter, even though he shows a 3 percent edge for some reason at time of this post (of course, usual caveat that this isn't a poll of likely voters).

My take away is just that the folks putting money into the race as a gamble in said markets don't...really seem to think the Democrat-communist will win. Cope with that however one wishes.

He does lie and lied about bringing parties together and voting to lower taxes, and he lied on the View and lies in his ads. He apparently lies to grandpa or his grandpa is not a good Southern Baptist preacher if he buys into his grandson's true beliefs

Yes. And racist, rich white suburbanites favored the golden boy over the black candidate, Crockett. She really has a beef with white democrats. She had been on the news and media. Better know. Than Talarico.

Conservatives, please wait until there is an actual debate and then see how that turns out. If Paxton does like Cruz has done in the past or Abbott has done in the past against the Left's dream candidates to win an actual important election in Texas for the first time in over 30years, then this will take care of itself.

I'm curious if you look at Talarico through the scumbag lens? Are trans kids your thing?

i view talarico through the lens of whether him taking a republican's seat in the senate helps the opposition party put a check on the destructive impulses and whims of our kleptocratic president and his corrupt administration.

it would, so he has my support. here's a to a divided and gridlocked federal government.

If Harris was in the White House, you'd still vote for Talafreko because he has a (D) by his name, and even if Cornyn was the Republican candidate.

Please for once, don't try to pretend to be some swing voter. Just own it that you will always vote for the Democrat.
depends on the candidates. under a harris presidency i still would have voted talarico over paxton, but perhaps not cornyn. i have voted for cornyn every other time he's been on my ballot. my voting record is probably 70-30 D-R over my adult life.

i get you don't believe independents are real or are just democrats in disguise but you're wrong, i am one, and i don't really care if you believe me or not.

Based on your post history no one here believes for a second you want some ineffective gridlocked government.

You want liberal democrats in full control. Why is it so hard for your side to just be honest about your intentions? Why all the BS games?
i would certainly prefer that to the current configuration (which isn't saying much), but not as a blanket or permanent rule. but that is not possible this election anyway, so i'll settle for the next best thing, which is a dem congress that keeps trump's hands tied until republicans get their act together and move on from him.

Do you think this board is full of people that aren't able to search your post history to see your beliefs and policy preferences?
i think this board has many people like yourself who have a binary and tribal view of politics, and who would project any belief or label onto me which serves that view regardless of whether it's true.

So you're going to keep voting for Democrats until the Republicans move on to someone who loses to Democrats like you'd prefer - or they find someone new who wins and is your next excuse to keep voting for Democrats in order to "keep them in check."

Democrat voter wants more Democrats in office…more news at 10.

Found this article about paw paw that was recently written. Seems he was a southern baptist preacher that couldn't even affirm the Baptist Faith and Message. And then he seemed to drift into being an auditor in Fort Worth and had a little activism in him there too.

Quote:

In a June 1 story in The New York Times, Causey said he was a moderate in the Southern Baptist Church in the early days of conservative fundamentalists' church takeover.

"The conservatives believed that the Bible was dictated by God to the writers of the Bible and that every word of it was to be taken as the literal word of God," Causey was quoted as saying. "I just never could swallow that line."

At least you're honest enough to admit that your decisions are made due to TDS. Nevermind the actual crap policies your candidates are trying to implement...Just got to get that meanie Trump!
the good news for you is that a senator talarico and dem congress would have a pretty hard time legislating that "crap policy" into law while trump is still president. as opposed to now, where nothing has stopped republicans from enacting crap policies like war with iran and tariffs.

Still better for America than the policies your boys Obama, Biden and their administrations were enacting. Or were pallets of taxpayer's cash sent in appeasement a better option?
