Paxton sucks. Cornyn sucks more.

We really need better, conservative, candidates.

Agreed, but good luck getting that to sink in with certain posters.

Tbf, Paxton is a perfect representative of what the GOP has become.

Cornyn is the old GOP. That old GOP is mostly gone. Its few remnants are dwindling in numbers and dying off.

He would also not protect the citizenry from usurpation of powers not granted the state executive.

He's a putz. Just a tad less than brisket boy.

It's telling that you used the word "Republican" instead of "conservative".

Sorry, I hold my candidates responsible for their actions.

If more people did, our govt might actually be "for the people" again instead of a lifetime appointment to grift the citizenry.

Paxton probably can make a presentable brisket. So he's got that going for him, I guess.

If your red team constantly votes liberal, what distinguishes them from the blue team?

Voting Paxton purely because I want term limits. If we can't have that in writing, do it at the ballot box. And I am zero Paxton fan. Wish we had better options.

Cornyn should have taken Paxtons offer that he'd drop out if Corny would help get the Safe act passed. Guess protecting his fellow grifters the DemocRATS and Thune was important enough he'd fall on his sword for it.

Well, since Paxton and Cornyn are our only choices in this runoff election…..which one are you voting for to be our choice in the November election?

I'm voting for Paxton, and I value your commentary as a long time TexAg member.

If he didn't care, he wouldn't offer his public endorsement. There is a lot of political, professional and personal thought that goes into an endorsement, especially at the US Senate level. Plus, if he has thoughts of possible appointments by Trump, he has to be scratching his head or hopefully had a prior discussion with Trump.

Since Cruz hasn't endorsed either one, and doesn't plan to, I doubt he cares much.

I guess I'm not following you. I'm not following you.

Didn't Cruz not endorse anyone? Why would he care who Trump endorses? Or has Cruz endorse someone?

There is no appointment that Cruz wants. He is very happy where he is.

True. I mistakenly was thinking the Cruz endorsement in the Texas AG race and confused it with the Texas US Senate race. Thanks for the catch!

I'm not voting this time around. I'm too busy working , anyway. For all the supposedly rosy numbers the govt puts out about the economy, it's kicking my ass. (Though I'm paying back debts I couldn't while homeless) I'm also having to cover for other members of leadership at work and working 13 hrs a night running an entire production line.

I'd probably hold my nose, like I did when voting for liberal Trump, and vote for ****ty Paxton, if I were though. Either way, Texas will have a craptastic Senator out of the election.

If Trump has done anything for the republican voters, it's exposing the useless RINO's that have been representing us for years. Voters seem to be less afraid to vote the worthless incumbents out in primaries now. It's slow, but at least we are seeing some progress in parts of the country.

Murk is an idiot, I actually think there's a strong possibility she retires unless the Dems somehow take the senate this cycle, in which case she'd flip.

Is is quite possible one of the top 5 dumbest senators, including Dems.

He is a disengaged, worthless empty suit.

Like how the housing industry collapsed in 2008/9? Cornyn couldn't be bothered to take a meeting with the biggest builders to discuss alternatives.

Whatever version of Cornyn you think you know is wrong. He is not just RINO, he is empty-suit, oft-manipulated world class dumb RINO.

Give me Lazy Eye Paxton so at least I know the devil we are dealing with.

Maybe when you get a breather from work we could see a (I) BigRobSA candidate in the future. And I mean that genuinely because anyone that is willing to consistently and vocally call out the b.s. from both sides would be a welcome change of pace. And acknowledging that voting for Paxton as a hold your nose vote is making the best of a ****ty situation.

Though I assume the thought of working for the government probably made you throw up in your mouth a little.
