There are plenty of things in life that I think are weird.....statues are just one of the many. But no, I don't advocate for destruction of things just because I don't understand them.

But if you must know. My life would not be impacted one way or the other if we had either no E King Gill and/or Sully, or whether we had 500 foot tall statues of both.

I'm lost. How we got from a statue of Trump to whether I've visited various cemeteries.....But I'll roll with it.

I have no idea what a stone, metal, composite, etc. representation of a person is supposed to mean to me. So I don't make it a point to seek out statues or to propose building of them. But different people value different things, and there are things that I probably enjoy that other people find strange, so I probably should have worded it differently.

Yep, definitely a fair assessment. Your summary is more aligned with my thinking than my own original post was, which I can appreciate.

People have such strong opinions pro-statue or anti-statue, I was just more along the lines of 'indifferent to statues' I guess.

But please don't ask me about my thoughts on pickle ball, cruises, golf, aikido or speed walking!!! I will be extremely unpopular (or more so) on this forum haha.
