Dang, what a clown that guy is!

A reminder that Clyburn's endorsement saved Biden's presidential run in the primary, on the basis that he commit to picking a black female running mate and likewise Scotus nominee. He's essentially responsible for foisting Kamala and KBJ on the nation, is my point. I cannot wait for him to become just a retired private citizen.

David Pascoe (R, but a 'former' D) who is running for the state AG has praised Clyburn as the 'Godfather of South Carolina'.

Told ya'll. There was no way the VA state supreme court would allow that many blatant violations of their state constitution and statutes to let that election result to stand.

VA can try it again, of course. But this time they will have to follow the lw in doing so.

Over two years, since the measure has to be passed twice with intervening elections before the subject can be put before the voters for a change in the state constitution.

Assuming this past election counts, then it would have to be passed again by the state assembly and then an election which has to be a statewide one, not local.

I don't think certainty was justified. 3 justices dissented, on incredibly spurious bases from what I have skimmed so far.

Possibly hilarious news in Utah re: Dem re-districting shenanigans. Justice resigns after 'rumors' she slept with Democrat plaintiffs attorney in redistricting case.

Utah is so weird I don't think they fix this one seat this cycle, tbf.
