Old guard lawyers are taught to say that...out of respect f...a fellow professional.

Then the professional left the profession. I stopped practicing law when I had had enough of that.

I still love the law just not the profession anymore.

I think it was during Desert Storm where some LTC and an enlisted female got captured together.

This Officer and female enlisted situation reminded me of that story.

And sorry I can't bring the receipts, it's a story I was told at Fort Knox in 1994 so, no Internet reference.

A male officer out hiking alone with a junior enlisted female? This may have been an accident but I wouldn't take murder suicide off the table.

/edit: after further googling it appears that there were multiple soldiers on the hike.

Frat, most likely, if anything. But ya know, it just doesnt matter now. Nothing indicates that they were anything but good soldiers, with bad luck.

I moved to Colorado 22 years ago and I've been surprised how many people accidentally fall to their death or freeze to death at high altitude on very mild day on the plains. I don't remember ever hearing the stories of these accidents when I lived in TX.
