There were a TON of women who opposed universal suffrage when it was being pushed. You don't hear about them from the programmers though.

While wedded submission could be an interesting topic regarding ethics or it's impacts on marriage (happiness and/or longevity), it will more likely plummet into a shouting match over mysogyny and abuse.

The right to vote was a privileged in exchange for men potentially participating in the draft. Women didn't want the vote because they feared the potential responsibility that went with it.

This podcast goes into the explanation as to why they are against it.


In my opinion I don't care if women vote, because some can be objective and not be manipulated by political hysterics(though a minority).

However I do believe that net tax takers should not be eligible to vote . It should only be reserved for net payers because they are the ones footing the bill for all the parasite takers. The one spending should be the one with a valid voting opinion.

Either way democracy is NOT the way to go, 3000 tyrants one mile away always ends in demagoguery. If we repeal the 19th, go ahead an repeal the 17th as well.

It's gonna get really bad when AI job loss accelerates, because it's gonna wipe out female jobs. They can't do the types of physical jobs that men do.

I just turned 40 and have some maturity now, albeit very little. So I am thinking 40-49.

In all seriousness 18-29 and 55-99 year olds care about free stuff.

So with that, 30-54 year olds seem reasonable.

And interestingly, her mother Jennifer Davis won the Republican primary in IL.

I'd be in favor of the way Alexander Hamilton wanted it.....landowners only.

Renters have minimal claim in the economic process.

Women should not be able to vote. Women's suffrage was a leftist ploy to weaken America, and was the genesis of the sexual revolution, abortion, women in the workforce cancers that ripped through America like a plague.

If women voted majority Republican the democrats would repeal their right to vote so fast their head would spin, but women are a reliable Leftist voting bloc.

Women are extremely important, but running the country isn't their job, running the household is. There's a reason why Christ himself didn't choose a single female Apostle to accomplish his great commissioning despite the singular honor and nature of his blessed Mother.

Agreed. Land owners or at the very least people who pay federal income taxes and not on welfare, though that would bring another set of problems.

Directly electing Senators is a much bigger problem.

I disagree with anyone that thinks women should not have the right to vote. Also disagree with anyone who believes turning 18 gives you that automatic right.

I cant read the article but women losing the right to vote is a vile idea. I know ppl on here joke about the 19th amendment being repealed but imagine your daughters and granddaughters having no vote in the future. No way to make themselves heard at the ballot box.

What about the taxes women pay? Would they be exempt as they would not be able to select any representation? Only seems fair.
