However I do believe that net tax takers should not be eligible to vote . It should only be reserved for net payers because they are the ones footing the bill for all the parasite takers. The one spending should be the one with a valid voting opinion.

We were founded on 'no taxation without representation'. What we need now is 'no representation without taxation' (and I hate taxes but still...).

No skin in the game, no say in the game.

How about you can only vote if you are married?

And you can repeal the 19th but I'd bet not a single state in the country (including the reddest of the red) would strip women of their right to vote. So I doubt it would accomplish the desired objective.

The Women Who Believe That Women Should Lose the Right to Vote

Offered without comment. Just curious what the ladies on the forum think.

By the way, congrats on having the thread stay up.

Most of the time, the Mods nuke threads that are only a link with no opinion or context given.

Landowners was a good rule

Agreed. Land owners or at the very least people who pay federal income taxes and not on welfare, though that would bring another set of problems.

Directly electing Senators is a much bigger problem.

I disagree with anyone that thinks women should not have the right to vote. Also disagree with anyone who believes turning 18 gives you that automatic right.

I'll go out on a limb and say 3/4 or more of F16 posters couldn't vote. If you pay a mortgage, you don't own your house - the bank does.

EDIT: A quick search shows that 40% of homes are owned outright, so "landownership" potentially cuts rolls by 60%! To make it even worse, that ownership is heavily tilted towards………..BOOMERS!

Still want landownership as the acid test???

Women have less and less importance in society these days. Other than making babies and providing sex to men, they do not bring a whole lot to the table anymore.

This was different from the old days. Modern women have given up their traditionally feminine tasks and behaviors and tried to become men, as prescribed by feminism. In the bargain they have become cheap copies of men who can survive only because of DEI and other schemes to push them through. They do not survive on their merit anywhere in meaningful numbers, but have large demands of salary and working conditions.

They will not do the "dirty" jobs like sewage work, miner work, oil rig work, but want cushy glamorous jobs like board member, VP of something. Note that they do not want CEO jobs because, while there is money and glamor, there is a lot of blame and hate thrown at CEOs and women never want to be blamed for anything. If there is one thing a married man knows, it is that it is always his fault and the woman never apologizes.

Women themselves are responsible for no one taking them seriously anymore. Rich old white men with nostalgia of the 40s and 50s like to simp before they die which is why corporations have been pampering them for the past few decades and tolerating their shenanigans.

Every innovation has a sex use case. The internet pushed online pr0n. Movies pushed out cinematic pr0n. So AI will also result in sex issues solved with AI robots. There are already prototypes out there. If you just want a "girlfriend" who puts out and doesn't demand anything, this is for you. Many men will go for it and save themselves the hassle. It will be normalized in some years. As for making babies, maybe you can rent mothers like you get an onlyfans subscription to see a nekkid woman. Just pay, have her pop out a baby for you and you go your merry way. That might be the future.

Nice job women. You have pushed yourselves into 'Bolivian.

Look at this entitled beach right here. Who would want to marry her? Imagine the value of her vote.

Man you had me for a while until I watched the video. I don't see how that video validates any of your points or does anything to question the value of her vote.

Funny post though

My gosh the country would be in so much better shape if women couldn't vote. Also if they were out of education it would help immensely. Also out of all government positions. Also no leadership positions, police work, firefighting, etc.

Well, I'm definitely in favor of women being able to vote - to think otherwise is just so ass backwards its almost obscene.

However, I am also in favor of non-proportional voting. Not everyone deserves an equal say - especially those who don't pay taxes and rely on the government for their welfare. I believe some sort of "vote bonus" system should be in place to allow those with more skin in the game a slightly higher vote count (nothing crazy...but more than 1 person, 1 vote).

I don't know if joking or if ultra-maga.

Hoping for the former, but seeing as how this is F16, wouldn't be surprised if the latter.

The former, right? Right?

I just was curious what the female forum users thought on a topic that might affect them one day. Hadn't seen much talk about it on here before.

FWIW I'm not sure I even got what I was curious about as it appears mostly only men responded.

This is what bicameral legislatures (except the US Congress, which has two houses as a small/large state compromise) were designed for.

Voting for the lower house would be open to all adult citizens. But voting for the upper house would have to be earned somehow. Like owning land (as with the House of Lords in the British Parliament). Or being a net taxpayer (and I'd allow a person to voluntarily pay more taxes if they want to earn a vote). Or military service. So that democracy doesn't become a host-parasite relationship where one part of the population habitually votes to give themselves more benefits at the expense of others.

On a related note this is probably a good time to mention the 17th amendment was a horrible idea.

I just paid my taxes and wanted to throw up knowing where it's going.

I can't be the only one. I have worked my ass off to build a life for my family, and to know that it's being skimmed by 70-IQ ******s is just another thorn in the eye.

Why did I do this? Why did I go to Texas A&M and work for the betterment of society?

I could have just become an immigrant "asylum seeker" who isn't fit to work and not qualified for the janitor position at Burger King and steal taxpayer money, running a "day care", and be a millionaire. Stealing from the federal goverment should never be the American Dream.

We are all the fools. And the ******s in charge, every single one of them, don't care one bit.

Women commit the fundamental flaw that "being nice" is what is good for society. And we have seen it now for nearly a century, the damage they have done to our country. 50% of the country will now not be able to admit what a woman is. Brainwashing.

Many of you'll forget there are many men that vote the same way women do - with feelings and for more government assistance. This over-generalization about women and thinking they all shouldn't be able to vote is just silly. Based on that logic no one should be voting.

So men and women were watching people playing a game who were hooked up to devices that shocked them.
When somebody was playing fairly and was shocked, both men and women's center for empathy in the brain lit up. When people who were CHEATING were shocked, the men's center for empathy DID NOT light up, in fact their pleasure center did light up. For women their empathy center STILL lit up even though these people where shocked for cheating !!! THE OLD SUICIDAL EMPATHY ON FULL DISPLAY !!

Jesus said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!' 30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us,' and to the hills, 'Cover us.' 31 For if they do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?"

Jesus Christ is our savior. HE and he alone, delivers us from sin.

You think "Trad Wives" who make money off telling conservative women through social media and podcasts how to live like them (stay home, don't work, bake sourdough bread, raise chickens, etc.) counts as them not having paid jobs and not going against the repeal the 19th amendment mentality some conservative men have?
