I hope the Dems in the US are stupid enough to try and support this (Anti Dog lunacy)

The UK is on their speed course to destroy what is left of their culture and now you have the anti dog movement picking up steam. This connects with Muslims who consider dog ownership haram and with far left loons for a variety of reasons (dog ownership is slavery, people with weird dog phobias, the general communist ideal of making everyone miserable). This won't work here and I hope it is enough to wake up the Brits but I'm not hopeful.

They will take my dog after they kill me first.

I do think we've gotten a little liberal with dogs in some public spaces.

I don't have a dog (wife is allergic), but I feel the same way about people wanting to ban them. But I totally agree that it is getting weird with how many places people want to take their dogs with them.

I love dogs, but I don't think you have to be a radical Muslim to not want to see dog crap in the aisles of HEB.

Allergies and fears sounds like the opposite side of the bull**** coin for having a service dog for anxiety.

I absolutely cannot stand hearing someone's dog barking at a store I'm in and I certainly don't want to see your dog in the grocery store.

Leave your dog at home.

Because he's a dog and we're people.

White libs are destroying everything good and decent. They are also the reason dogs are now allowed to go everywhere, restaurants, movie theaters, planes, etc.... Keep your dog at home please and keep Muslims out of the country!

The Four Seasons restaurant in Santa Fe lets you have your dog in the restaurant and they will bring it a water bowl. Last time we were there there were people who had their dogs on their dog beds below the table.

Such dbaggery.

I'm fine either way with dogs in public as long as the venue makes it clear of it is policy or not to welcome dogs, and lets the customers decide if they want to deal with it or not. I think there are many places where dogs except actual service dogs for disabled persons don't really belong.

This mess in England is likely the green red alliance trying to push haram compliant public policy and suppress pets keeping in culture to reduce resource consumption that they can tax and redirect towards more Marxist public spending.

The native Brits love their dogs probably more than Americans and we certainly love our dogs.

Last time I was in the UK the little old ladies took their dogs to church on Sunday. You don't see that here unless they are service dogs.

Dogs as pets: unacceptable

"Furries" who claim to be dogs: celebrate them

ditto, especially in places like la where you see white women pushing little dogs around in a stroller like they're a kid.

I was at a nice, quite famous breakfast restaurant in Fredericksburg about a year ago and we were on the outdoor patio. Next to us was a table capable of seating 5-6 people and in one of the seats, at the table, was someone's dog. Ok. I'm a avid dog lover but at the table in a public business. That's too much for me.

That's not what this is. Muslims especially do not approve of dog ownership, dogs are just above pigs to them and pigs are of course the worst of animals to Muslims and they can't have anything to do with them. This is about making it so they are not able to be out in public at all and eventually to ban dog ownership.

Dogs in most places don't really bother me yet I also totally understand others have more limits on what they find acceptable. But I don't think any government should be dictating this stuff - just give places of business the right to exclude pets from entering and let everyone decide for themselves.

Just to be clear, the segment in question isn't anti-dog ownership.

It was suggesting that there were too many public places that allowed dogs in them. Which is something to legitimately keep an eye on.

I'm very libertarian on this.

If a private business wants to allow dogs or almost anything else, then customers are welcome to find another competing business if they disagree.

I don't have a problem with dogs in public outside of a few places like grocery stores, but I think we have lost the plot on where dogs fit into society. More and more people are treating them like human beings. What you end up with is a bunch of high anxiety, reactive dogs who don't have any boundaries that will bite people. The owners write off the bad behavior and never do anything about it because they don't want to be mean to their "fur baby".

Been thinking about this a lot since I've been training my new dog over the last couple months (with a professional trainer) to be well behaved in public and off-leash trained. It's been eye opening how many people think their 100lb dogs terrible behavior is normal and that there are zero risks bringing a dog like that into a public place.

I like most dogs more than most people.

I have a very special bond with my 10 year old Chawut. My kids joke that I love her more than them. She's a dog. A princess dog, but a dog. We don't take her to stores or restaurants, because... she's a dog.

I was at an event where someone brought their emotional support Great Dane on the elevator. Crapped on the floor, owner said a quick "sorry" and left without picking it up.

Much like anything else, disrespectful people will ruin it for everyone, and you'll start seeing more restrictions.

I hope they sanitized the chair after the dog rubbed his ******* all over it. Animals don't belong in restaurants or grocery stores.

Wholly agree with this. Went to a restaurant on Greenville Ave in Dallas and a guy outside had his German Shepard with him. I made the mistake of thinking "if this guy has his dog in a public place, it must be ok"
Totally wrong. Dog almost bit my hand off. The guy acted like I was the problem. Oh no my friend, you are the problem
