The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is enforcing a new rule that restricts men from competing in women's sports.

In a shocking development, 2-time olympic champion Caster-Semenya thinks the IOC has just gone too far.

Maybe sanity is returning vis-a-vis women in sports.

BTW, "she" actually does have (undescended) testicles.

Yeah, that does suck for her, but she has a genetic disorder that gives her an advantage over the vast majority of women.

Um yeah, yeah they do bro. That's exactly what your testicles do.

I sympathize with the lady in the tweet that has the genetic disorder but that's extremely rare. The fact remains women need a category to compete in that isn't going to include mentally ill men capable of causing them significant harm. This seems to be the only logical decision. Sad it's taken us close to a decade to figure out the only logical conclusion.

I still think the world watching that boxer quite literally getting her face beaten opened a lot of eyes.

I also think that other boxer very likely is one of the very low percentage that is genetically male but born physiologically female. It sucks for her to live her entire childhood as a little girl and then only learn something is wrong when puberty isn't "going right." I think Britany Griner is probably in the same situation. I do feel sorry for them, but they should not be competing with the girls.

How about the testicles combined with a lack of a uterus, no endogenous estrogen production, no gynecoid pelvic bone structure, and possessing XY chromosomes instead of the XX chromosomes that are required to be female?

Dude... you're not a woman...

Same. For those who truly were born that way, it does suck for them, but for those who weren't and made the change that gave them an advantage they wouldn't have otherwise, no. Full stop

Why not have an "other" category where these crazy men and women can beat the crap out of one another?

If you would like to have more of this nonsense, do that.

You would have thousands of converts just for the college scholarships.

These average males can compete with the men like every other male.

I'm not talking college scholarships, I was talking sports.
If a man turned female wants to box, he can either go fight other men or just go to an "other" category and fight other weirdos. No fighting females, which is what they actually want to do.

We don't want situations like the last Olympics.

The sad reality is that their condition is precisely what allowed them to be olympic competitors in women's sports.

Guess what? I never could compete at an olympic level. My life wasn't destroyed because of it. 99% of biological males cannot compete at an olympic level, and they all live with it.

The fact that these folks have XY chromosomes give them an unfair advantage over those with XX chromosomes. Full stop.

So the man turned female should not be allowed to fight females unless it is a female turned man?

Biological men should not be allowed to fight biological females.
I have no problem is men --> women want to fight men. Go for it.
Women --> men have to fight men or "other".

Only untampered women can fight other women.

The concept that people should just be able to do whatever they want simply because they want to is a stupid idea. It's unfortunate they have to deal with this disorder but that doesn't mean they get to take advantage of others. Life isn't fair and we all have to deal with our blessings and limitations.

Those undescended testes that "make him/her no less of a woman" actually carry a significant risk (1 in 40 chance) of testicular cancer. This high risk of cancer is why pediatricians always check boys to make sure that their testes have fully descended.
