That short clip isn't the half of it. She's had some real doozies in commissioner's court meetings. I posted this earlier in the thread, but it's one of my favorites. She flat out loses it when the other four commissioners refused to support her early childhood boondoggle. She tried to use a group of young children as a prop to embarrass the commissioner, three of them fellow Democrats,and force them to vote for her program but they didn't fall for it and she got crazy mad.

A gift is not taxable to the recipient though.

HLSR should not be giving free tickets to anyone, particularly elected officials. They should be sold and the proceeds go into the scholarship fund or used for rodeo purposes.

I think at some point the folks at Rodeo Houston had to put their foot down when it comes to a public official mooching from what amounts to a scholarship fund. She got enough. $9,000 worth of tickets… for free. If you listen to the recording, she had already indicated that she wanted to come another five nights and bring five people with her… how many tens of thousands of dollars does she think she's entitled to because of her position as a "public servant"? The woman has no shame and no sense of propriety.

I don't know what that means, but Harris is a huge county. As a result, it's going to go Democrat regardless of what Ellis may have done in all likelihood. Simply a function of size and being a major urban hub.
