This pretty dumb. They're more efficient than the regular lines. And it's not a courtesy when you paid for it.

I have to fly to ATL tomorrow. Coming home will be awful.

Let's be clear about why this shutdown is occurring.... the Dems are the ones refusing to fund DHS because they want to severely cut ICE funding and restrict agents in the field.

This is a party that opened the border when they were in power and is now trying everything they can to gum up the machinery of government to protect illegals.

Since we are being clear:

this "shutdown is occurring" because of Democrats.

They opened the border and want to destroy America as we know it. They will protect illegals at all costs as part of this

Shutting down Global Entry and Precheck is a political play by Trump. This doesn't have to be done. Will it work? I'm doubtful because most of the people that this is going to affect are already republican voters.
But one should never underestimate what Trump can do!

Totally agree that is Trump's reaction to the Dems intransigence, and I don't particularly care for it.

But it doesn't change that the root cause for this shutdown is Dems wanting to protect illegals.

I'm flying out of IAH tomorrow to Medellin and returning Wednesday.

I'll report back on how much fun it was.

I don't have TSA Pre, nor Global Entry but, with this shutdown putting those people in the regular pedestrian lines, it will suck for everybody.

Unfortunately, I think this is the kind of action that is required to get peoples attention about how ridiculous the Democrats are being about enforcing our immigration laws.

I don't disagree with the idea he wants the government funded but the only reason why TSA is changing procedures for the first time during a shutdown is because he thinks it will make the Dems look bad. I think this one will backfire and be pinned on him and the Republicans.

99% of those who support Trump aren't going to change their votes over this. Same with 99% of people who hate Trump. Just politics as usual in Washington.

For the record, I support Trump, the Dems are behind the shutdown and this move is not necessary.

Flew overseas on Saturday

TSA line was there at IAH: but they still treated it like regular entry - had to take out my laptop, belt, iPad, etc...

I have global entry and hope it's available when I get back late this week

Clear will still work correct? Understand clear with pre will be closed but hopefully that will provide some relief. Hopefully they turn off the free trial that they've been running so that doesn't overwhelm the system. Have to fly DEN-AUS over the weekend and not looking forward to security on either end.

Precheck costs less than regular security from a manpower standpoint.
