The good news is that there are fewer people seeking those degrees at places like Texas. The academic standards have increased, which would seem to mean more serious students are seeking degrees. Ivy League schools are the opposite now. Graduating from those means you fit whatever nonsense criteria they set for admission and that you played along well with the freaks around you for four years.

Sure, smart people still attend, but they have lots of ways to manipulate their admissions process.

We learned everything there is to know in middle school health. The four year program must be for the slow learners.

They are angry about the reduction in staffing and budget to the departments on aggregate that this will probably accomplish. This administrative overhead is often composed of graduates of similar degree programs, and so the collective programs see it as an outside attack when it implies how replaceable they are.

I honestly would tell my kids, get a loan, and good luck as those are just activist degrees and a waste of money. I would also tell them to learn how to bartend or make coffee.
