Not auto related, but add all the mandated refrigerant changes over the years to the list as well.

Good Trump - BEST Trump.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-revokes-basis-of-us-climate-regulation-ends-vehicle-emission-standards/ar-AA1WeBvd

Quote:

The administration of President Donald Trump on Thursday announced the repeal of a scientific finding that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health, removing the legal basis for federal climate regulations.

It also ended subsequent federal greenhouse gas emission standards for all vehicles and engines of model years 2012 to 2027.

The move represents the most sweeping climate change policy rollback by the administration to date, after a string of regulatory cuts and other moves intended to unfetter fossil fuel development and stymie the rollout of clean energy.

So, if you want to buy a 10 mpg gas guzzler, go right ahead.

I did back in June because the only thing you can get these days without auto start/stop is a 1-ton.

Okay Toyota, ball's in your court. Bring back the V8 Tundra by 2028 when I'll be shopping for a new truck.

Beat me to it. However as a Tacoma TRD owner, how bout that small, naturally aspirated V-8 we Tacoma owners were all clamoring for, but were rewarded with that 4cyl turbo trash. Hell, I'll just take the V-6 at this point.

The 2026 3/4 ton Chevy 2500 truck I just bought with the gas 6.6 engine does not have the auto start/stop.

The only difference between it and a 1-ton is a spring rate & sticker.

This might be the best policy stance Trump has taken in this term. The impact of environmental regs is killing this country, both in the increased cost of living to the American consumer and the cost of compliance for American businesses which impacts our ability to compete in the global markets. And it was all implemented over a left wing lie by the Democrats.

Outstanding Trump. Glad to see he's not taking his foot off the gas. Literally.

Not literally at all but I get what you are saying.

Correct. And ____ Hussein Obama and the Dude he rode in on. Will trade in my wife's 25 suv with the auto start/ stop as soon as they make a new one without the auto start /stop.

This means nothing. The next big change for spec changes is due in late 2028 or 2029. You guessed it when the next President will be in office. If it's a Republican that helps but if it is a Democrat all this stuff will be back in. I expect little change to plans until then

Trump will still be in office in late 2028 so those specs are largely being written under this admin.

They were trying to next force CO2 as a refrigerant I believe, which was an insane idea from the get go, though at least it would have screwed Dupont.
