Good Trump - BEST Trump.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-revokes-basis-of-us-climate-regulation-ends-vehicle-emission-standards/ar-AA1WeBvd

Quote:

The administration of President Donald Trump on Thursday announced the repeal of a scientific finding that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health, removing the legal basis for federal climate regulations.

It also ended subsequent federal greenhouse gas emission standards for all vehicles and engines of model years 2012 to 2027.

The move represents the most sweeping climate change policy rollback by the administration to date, after a string of regulatory cuts and other moves intended to unfetter fossil fuel development and stymie the rollout of clean energy.

So, if you want to buy a 10 mpg gas guzzler, go right ahead.

You already could.

"Legally" might be another matter. "Easily" never was.

Okay Toyota, ball's in your court. Bring back the V8 Tundra by 2028 when I'll be shopping for a new truck.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

No, that's a state law. But you already can in non-emissions counties.

From the article: "intended to unfetter fossil fuel development and stymie the rollout of clean energy".

These rollbacks are intended to keep us from freezing in the dark and maintaining our freedom of movement. Rolling back mandates that force us into all electric world that won't work isn't "stymieing" clean energy. It's taking the government's thumb off the market scales and letting the best products win out. You can't hate the media enough.

Chris Wright did a point by point breakdown on all the ways Democrat energy and environmental policies screw American citizens during things like winter storms last week.

It should be required viewing for anyone that votes in elections. These issues of environmental regulations on our daily lives like automobiles and energy are the issues we should be discussing as it relates to our local, state, and federal political leadership.

Democrats can go ballistic about Wrights "bias" background but it's hard to refute a lot of the data he presents in his talk from last week and how the energy mix the democrats have forced upon consumers, especially in the cold blue states, is a disaster for reliability and a disaster for our pocketbooks.

This stuff is all related to what we deal with on regulations for our automobiles.

The Democratic Party is not a party that believes in public policies that help the American people.

Trump and the Republicans need to stop spending time on issues that don't matter and start spending time figuring out how to hammer this type of information home in a way that every voting age group understands and resonates with. This is the stuff that matters! But it can't get done when you take your eye off the ball and talk about crap that turns independents off of your agenda and you lose elections.

Okay rant over. Have a good day.

DEF is probably not going to get repealed as that is not related to CO2 emissions.

If it survives the inevitable lawsuits, it'll be somewhat durable until Congress takes action. The Chevron deference win in 2024 and the EPA v. West Virginia case are putting much more pressure on agencies now.

This might be the best policy stance Trump has taken in this term. The impact of environmental regs is killing this country, both in the increased cost of living to the American consumer and the cost of compliance for American businesses which impacts our ability to compete in the global markets. And it was all implemented over a left wing lie by the Democrats.

Outstanding Trump. Glad to see he's not taking his foot off the gas. Literally.

This means nothing. The next big change for spec changes is due in late 2028 or 2029. You guessed it when the next President will be in office. If it's a Republican that helps but if it is a Democrat all this stuff will be back in. I expect little change to plans until then

This damn thing sends me into a rage every time it turns off. As someone who's first truck was an '80 F100 and who's ass was sticking out of from under the hood at 11:00 at night because you had to be at work in the morning, the shock of a vehicle dying on you never goes away. 30 years later and it's still like a mini panic attack every time my ****ing truck turns off at a stop because I forgot to push the button ahead of time.
