And of the TVs that stayed tuned in, how many of them just had the channel on but weren't actually watching the show and were distracted doing other things while they waited for the 2nd half to start?

Thing that is encouraging about the TPUSA numbers…you had to actively change over to it, which means the numbers they report were people actively watching that show…

Spot on, and the key is, the TPUSA didn't end when Bad Bunny did, it went the entire Half Time including commercials, studio show etc. And more important, this is just the proof of concept. Once the numbers come out and with a years notice, will some larger acts block out the weekend if touring, will they get named sponsors that cater more to the heartland.

I get it is a global reach trying to get people to watch, but the people actually there did not appear to be enjoying the show at all.

The people that are there to watch a football game aren't necessarily there for the halftime show.

The NFL is looking beyond the US for their brand at this point. It was a smart move by them. Almost 600 million people in the world speak Spanish and using their biggest stage to extend an olive branch is a good move.

Bawitaba sounds like it came out yesterday. Its still hits like Im hearing it the first time. Its incredibly awesome. Kidrock has done a bunch of cheesy stuff, but that **** was awesome.

Football Globally will never come close to Soccer.Especially in the Spanish-speaking countries, the NFL can desire globalization all they want ....what they're failing to realize is they are attempting to reach that goal at the expense of the fan base that built this league in the first place.... dont bite the hands that feed you. football is FAR behind soccer basketball and even baseball globally and I dont see that changing for a multitude of reasons

When Shakira performed there was not outrage when she spoke Spanish because it was entertaining and still appealed to the general fan base of the NFL.

Opening the press conference with you have 4 months to learn Spanish is how you alienate fans.

Bawitdaba was a lip sync where he could still sing over it. There are multiple times during it where vocals kept playing and he didn't even have the mic held up as he walked around.
