I have had the misfortune to have been in Phoenix during both such occurences. When it is too hot to be in the hotel pool...with a cold drink...it is too hot.

I've only been here 3 years and think 118 is the hottest I've seen but I like the trade off for the winter.

My daughter and grandkids had some light snow out in Peaster. Perferct for kids to play in.

I'm so ****ing glad I moved south to Padre.

It's chilly (low 40s) but not ****ty.

BTW, what's the weather and road conditions like in BCS? I'll be heading there Tuesday to do some work at the BCDC at RELLIS this week.

Good deal. I was hoping it wouldn't suck too badly when we got there. I drive a Jeep, so snow doesn't bother me, but ice is just complete bull**** to drive in.

We actually had to push the meetings back and lose a day because we decided to head up Tuesday.

At least that means I don't have to talk so much at the meetings...

my refrigerator picked the absolute worst time ever to completely break. all of the stuff I got to prep for the storm is quickly becoming room temperature and a new fridge cant get here until Wednesday.

took all of the stuff out of the freezer and put it on the back patio.

Yes, this was the perfect time to break! When we lost power for 4 days in 2021, I put everything in coolers on the porch and we shopped off the back porch for food.

It is 24 degrees, we got half an inch of ice and the power has been out for 14 hours. I cant get out of my driveway due to the ice and my generator does not work. I know I need a small vacation.

Heads up. Freezing fog tonight can cause some slick roads and overpasses tomorrow morning.

When we lived up north in a coastal town, freezing fog was quite common. Really cuts down a lot of the scope of lights, not only headlights but street lights too. Might as well be a brown out.
