First, let me see if I can clear up some potential misunderstandings.

1. Agree. This American wants laws followed.
2. Biden wasn't "my" President and, I agree, opening that border without vetting procedures and guardrails was a very big mistake.
3. I want the immigrants who have no desire to follow our legal path to citizenship, as painful and inefficient as that may be, gone. I also want any immigrant who thinks it's okay to commit a serious crime here out.

There's nothing to be proud about regarding what is occurring in Minnesota. Or Portland. Or LA. It's very disappointing. People are very angry regarding how this deportation program is being executed and, as much as I understand that, it doesn't give one a license to make things go from bad to even worse.

As I said above, attitude reflects leadership. In my humble opinion, there has been a lack of leadership from both sides. I don't see a leader from either side trying to bring down the temperature. Not only in Minnesota but all across this country. That's disappointing also.

We are better than this. We can do things better, and smarter, than we are right now. That applies to the actions and rhetoric on both sides.

And back to the point of the OP, I would use these EXACT words if it was MAGA doing the same as we see folks doing now in Minnesota.

Those settlers were allowed in chunks, were Christian and white with very similar cultures, and still large immigration pauses were enacted to allow the economy and the populace to adjust. Also major spikes in crime and gang activity resulted from that immigration as well. This was also well before massive entitlement programs existed.

That may have been true at one time. But for a long time we have not "imported" people as much as have been invaded by people, most of whom we know nothing about and who do not want to assimilate but rather want to bring their cesspool country and cesspool culture to America. Good nations enforce immigration law. We can't just let everyone who claims they are trying to claim asylum or escape their horrid conditions in their home country. These environmental groups are filing a baseless lawsuit because the place has already been used by aircraft for many years. Democrats continue to despise accountability and blame the border crisis they created on President Trump and ICE. They claim that parents are being ripped apart from their children because they weren't born inside a made-up border. It's beyond clear that Democratic leaders are intentionally enabling illegal immigration to register them to become future Democratic voters. Also, most illegal aliens are trying to dismantle the American culture.
