I have a girl and a boy in their mid/late 20's, both still single and tend to struggle in relationships. IMO, their struggles arise from poor choices and/or ridiculous expectations. From my experience in discussing some of their experiences, what is in this thread is pretty darn accurate.

We are here because men have repeatedly failed as leaders of our family, and it has been happening since the beginning. Adam was doing whatever Adam was doing while the enemy was manipulating Eve. And what happened when Adam was approached by God when they ate from tree? Adam threw Eve under the bus instead of being accountable for not protecting her.

This is the exact pattern that is happening today. Men are busy worshipping our jobs, athletes, shooting deer and Marvel. And that is when we actually show up and haven't completely bailed. This thrusts our women as the spiritual leaders of the house, because we are no longer on the wall spiritually protecting the people we love. And then we are shocked when women start treating men like beta males.

Both men and women today believe you should live it up in your 20s and only settle down once you find the "right" person. But the real world rarely works that way.

In my high school years ago, there were numerous couples who wound up getting married either right after school or later after college. The vast majority of those couples are still married 40+ years later, with children and grandchildren. They clearly fought for their marriages and made them work.

Today, people scoff at the term "high school sweetheart," implying that you settled and missed out on someone better for you out in the big world.

Society tells you to "wait" but that goes against biology and thousands of years of human nature, and it's not working out very well.

Social media, entertainment, and academia have brainwashed women into joining the left in waging the war on men for being oppressive to them. Also, they want control over their body and abortion on demand access. They believe that conservatives are passing anti-abortion laws to prevent them from achieving education and career goals by forcing them to give birth to babies they don't want. In addition, they believe liberals will help close the gender gap at every level of education of educational attainment. For these reasons, these women believe that the liberals will help them to achieve the myth of having it all on their terms.

In contrast, young men notice how women significantly outnumber men in college enrollment and completion. Young men notice how academia has been indoctrinating liberal agenda. Also, they notice how courts are skewed toward women in divorce and child custody cases. Most importantly, they hear the left waging war on men for being oppressive to women. For these reasons, young men are becoming more conservative.

I've been married for 31 years. My parents were married for 55 years before Dad passed. If you don't think that there are issues with modern women (obviously men have issues as well) then you are delusional.

Take this for instance. This woman appears to be in her mid 20's and attractive (not a model but pretty and in shape). She is berating other women for "settling" because she is caught up in a princess fantasy that there is a perfect guy for her and for other women and that they need to not consider anyone else. The reality is that life isn't like that. Most men tend to understand this but women often do not. Everyone is flawed and you need to look at yourself first and what you can do to improve. You need to go into relationships understanding that often you will have to put in more than your partner and that you both bring different things. You have to know your partner will falter at times as will you and you have to support each other.

This woman is enjoying her time of being young and pretty and getting lots of attention. It gives her a perception of endless choices and that she can keep shopping until she finds just the right one. Unfortunately since every person is flawed and she will see other options she will likely continue to shop until either A)she runs out of time and realizes she doesn't have the options she used to or B)she settles herself but feels resentment that her partner can't live up to her unrealistic expectations so she either makes him miserable or divorces him not realizing that her value will be even less. or C)She wakes up and realizes that she isn't settling by finding a man that will love her and support her and that she can do the same for realizing that neither of them is perfect.

Yes most women 'settle' and marry the best they can get, which often isn't her first, second or third choice.

Social media has been a double edge sword for many young women. Females are more drawn to social media than males. In their minds it opens up the world to them in terms of awareness, it also gives them the false impression that the 'world' is attainable to them and their supposed friends.

Growing up in the 60's through the 90's, basically pre-social media, you knew your k-12 school crowd, your athletic team, and your neighborhood. It was not very common to know a lot of people from other school districts.

Now, those days are barely recognizable. We live in an age of deception. Pictures and/or videos posted are filtered, adjusted, redone many times to get the right take. Reality gets distorted. Young minds are believing that the poster/influencer is much better than they really are. So envy can result which then may lead to inferiority issues. Or, if the viewer is always seeing the greatest of the great, their expectations can get out of hand thinking that perfection is a very common thing. No one in reality can measure up.

Throw in feminists (or girls applying makeup and lecturing like they are supremely knowledgeable) saying, "you deserve it", "never settle", "you're a ten", "you can have it all", "the patriarchy this or that", "the world is terrible so don't bring children into it", can all have a very detrimental effect on other young women. It takes away some of women's greatest feminine traits (nurturing, agreeable, polite) and makes them very self-centered instead.

Another aspect of this is young women's obsession with travel, especially among those who grew up in an affluent household where vacations were the norm.

They don't want to settle down until they've been here, there and everywhere so they can keep up with their peers on IG.

We didn't have that distraction as young people. Vacations that are common now were only for the very wealthy back then. Our goals were far more basic -- find a partner and start a family.

Something else I thought of, going back to the alpha-beta-omega thing.

As I said in an earlier post, many women say they want a beta/omega male, while at the same time, going after what they perceive to be the "alphas" on Tinder, and just in general.

For whatever, likely numerous, reason(s), they often equate "alpha male" with guys who are *******s. Then they get used and abused, over, and over, and over again, developing even more resentment and hatred toward men. We get to hear them whine about "where are all the good guys?"

At the same time they're getting used as sex toys by the guys they think are the alphas, the men who are actually decent can't even get the time of day. A man who holds the door for them, smiles and says good morning, or asks how their day is, or their weekend went (the latter two would be people who already know another to some degree) they resent him A man who was raised to treat others with respect and courtesy (regardless if the other person is male or female), or simply believes that it the right thing to do, is seen as weak, boring, loser, etc. Worst of all is for Christian men who try to follow God's word in how they treat others (Do to others as you would have them do to you) and especially treat women as the Bible says to do. Most church girls/women resent this on an insane level for some odd reason, despite professing they want a good, Christian man. I can't even count how many times I saw it in church from the time I was a teenager; but personally, hearing it happened from friends of mine, and witnessed first hand.

Then by the time they're old, approaching or beyond the years to have children, they are used up and men who want a real relationship want nothing to do with them. Does anyone think someone like Bonnie Blue is going to be wife material one day?

Go on any dating site and you'll find countless women in their 30s and 40s looking for a husband, but they're single, never married, and more often than not, have 1 or more kids. To top it off, throw in some massive tattoos, and a septum piercing, the latter is probably the biggest red flag there is right now.

I'm sorry, it's one thing to marry a woman with kids who's husband died, or a woman who divorced for reasons that were not her fault (adultery, abuse, husband committed a crime, etc.) but few men want to jump into the massive cluster**** of a never married single mother, who probably spends her weekends protesting ICE.

I married a man I met in church. He is a wise, smart, funny, fun, hard worker and active in Bible study and church. And he is an adopted Aggie as he went to Lamar and is a good Ag. We have two daughters who married Christian men. Both are great guys and take care of our daughters. One of our daughters attended A&M and the other is a realtor. We all like football and the dons in law both like gold, one hunts and fishes. The are conservative, like my husband and I are.
