I'm far, far, damn far from a Trumper. But further from a Dem. It's the unidentified and masked patrol that get me. Flash a badge and I'm good. I get the gist. Why the ambiguity of is this legit or not that I'm not cool with. Like, own the role, the law or not - no second guessing for a misfire.

An attesting officer should never be obscured. Period. It's the authority taking you under the law. Your right is that it's an actual authority. Masked is BS.

You mess around with law enforcement doing their duty and you're lucky if the only negative outcome is getting arrested and released. This punk was provoking the ICE agent at best, looking for a headline.

You live in a hypothetical world where radical leftists are not targeting individual federal agents abd their familues for violence, threats, intimidation, and litigation. Tom Homan, Greg Bovino, and Kriati Noem have all quoted a statistic of a >1000% increase in acts of violence against ICE since Trump took office.

The masks are fully justified in the real world. There is no right of an individual to know the personal identity of an arresting officer at the time of arrest. They can easily get that information when their case goes to trial. If they are mistakeny detained and file a lawsuit for wrongful arrest they will get it in discovery.

It's an absurd claim that ICE is targeting citizens or anyone else that isn't interfering with the lawful execution of their duties. Agitators whinging about not being able to see or photograph the faces of ICE agents matters less than zero to me.

I know some liberal Hispanic people who are going around carrying their passports exactly for situations like the one being reported. It seems silly to me, if this story isn't accurate.

Living in DFW there are a lot of Indians here on H1B, a lot of them have the majority of their paperwork on them at all times. They know ICE isn't playing around any longer.

Stop ****ing interfering, talking ****, or directly confronting any officer.
Protest peacefully, legally, and fight it at the ballot box.

If you choose to obstruct, pester, interfere, block or personally confront an agent, it might very well end up with you on the ground.

Further, dont make decisions on behalf of your corporate employer. Dont decide to do or ban guests if your working for a hotel chain, dont ban ice agents from your McDonald's, dont try to step in front of ice officers or any others entering into the target you work at.

Just stop being stupid.

That lady makes a lot of assumptions to determine why the guy was arrested. Doesn't appear ice was going after him specifically until he tried to get in the way.

Not sure his citizenship status or skin color had much to do with it

I might be mistaken, but it's probably a good idea, even it it's just a copy of the orginal document.
I travel quite a bit to Canada and have a Visa in my passport. I generally keep it with me when I'm in country.

Agreed. The issue was when the kid pushed past the agent to attempt to get back in front of him. Touching the agent (or anyone for that matter) is assault.

You force past me on the way to the store there really isn't much I can do as a regular citizen. Force your way past a cop wearing a body camera while he's trying to do his job (and acting in his official capacity) you just got done FA and you're now FO from someone with the full legal authority to issue the FO.

Based on the evidence of this video and I'm sure the video from the kid (if they were to confiscate it) showing the incident. The kid obstructs the BP officer and takes swing at him with left arm.

Contradicts the eyewitness accounts. Once again eyewitness accounts need to be corroborated with other evidence due to the inherent bias eyewitness accounts can introduce to an investigation.

Hope BP officer has body cam as well.

I was going to say, hysterical liberals have convinced a lot of brown people, including citizens, that they're likely to be snatched off the street at any moment. I know of a few who carry their passports for that reason.

There's a mom at my daughter's school whose daughter is 1/2 indigenous and mom was positive ICE was going to kick the door to the school down to take her (she's in 5th grade, by the way) simply because she has darker skin than the other kids. She insisted the teachers and faculty swear to her they'd protect her daughter with their lives when that happened, and of course no one would say such a thing. Ultimately she took her daughter out of school to homeschool her. I wouldn't have believed anyone could be that paranoid if I hadn't seen it myself.

Libs used to demand body cams for cops. Now they regret doing so because they can't lie anymore and blame cops for perp's bad behavior.
