This feels like one of those huge news stories, the big Gotcha moment, that we will never hear crap about again; except, maybe a talking point in the midterms.
If they had so much evidence of fraud, wouldn't people be doing perk walks right and left in the media? I mean the Republicans would want that front and center right in everyone's face..
I'm sure there was fraud, but is the evidence really there like they say and is there really as much as they are saying?
I am sure this will go right to the top of Bondi's and Patel's to do list, right behind their next appearances on Fox News and various right wing podcasts. What makes me mad is if they can find all this in two days of looking, why did they not do it before now? WTF is going on with these agencies that we are a year into "draining the swamp" and have to have some fresh out of college X account leading us by the nose to where the fraud is occurring? If it is this obvious and easy to find now, it was just as easy and obvious before it got broadcast on X. So why are they just now noticing it?
Going back to your fresh out of college X account... I feel like this is oversimplified. What DataRepublican and others did wasn't just look for the information. They created the algorithms that used AI to help track all of this down. This was a new way to investigate NGO's that wasn't possible before.
If you are talking about the media, that is what media is now. Young journalist doing what journalist were supposed to do when your news room wasn't run by the DNC.
I am talking about the kid that walked around the Somali daycares showing there were no kids there. What DataRepublican and Mike Benz and others are doing tracking dark money and NGO networks that have been stealing our money is something totally different. I know these programs get administered at the state level. But when the feds see daycare funding going up exponentially in a state like MN, when there was not a corresponding exponential rise in the number of kids in the state, it should have at least triggered a drive by look from somebody at the federal level. And seeing millions of dollars going outbound to Somalia and elsewhere from areas where a huge majority of the Somali population is on public assistance of some sort or another should have similarly triggered fed law enforcement attention to where that money was coming from.
Instead, we wait for it to go viral from some no name investigative kid on tiktok and then suddenly we spend 2 days looking and find hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud? To be able to find it so easily once it gets pointed out publicly by somebody else suggests strongly that we already knew where to look and are just trying to save face by "finding it" now. Which also suggests to me that it will all go away when the furor dies down and nobody will go to jail for it.
Yeah, it's frustrating, a bunch of 3 letter agencies not doing their job. Would think a simple IRS visit, maybe scope the place out 2 or 3 days beforehand, then spring the audit papers on them. I'm sure, like the FBI busy investigating voter fraud, they got better stuff to do. Any businesses taking taxpayer money should be investigated and audited on the regular, but they wanted to hire 85,000 new IRS agents to investigate us people paying the taxes instead....Need more tax money in the slush fund so they can all get better kickbacks from these scams...
It makes sense now why the DEMs think taxing the crap out of legit corporations is such a great ideal. More money they can launder into their own pockets..
