Our Christian Faith says one should forgive this individual for his sins. Perhaps sometimes it is best to do that while repenting for the sin of revenge.

Definitely not worth that. Just shove his worthless ass in front of an oncoming public transportation train. Let the rats and other vermin in those tunnels feast on what's left.

You can forgive a man and also give him his just rewards for his deeds.

Too good. He needs to suffer worse than she will during the trauma and rehab.

Not revenge punishment

Saw somewhere that she had a Black Lives Matter banner on one of her social media profiles.

Not sure if that was/is real or not.

Absolutely awful.

It's fixable but there are no solutions, only tradeoffs.

Not revenge punishment

Coming from the perspective of that father who lost his daughter. To hell with state/govt. justice. That should be bloodline removal.

This dude should have been taken out of society long ago.

How do Dems defend these guys with 70 plus convictions still roaming about society in the name of "social justice"?

Then claim it is uncalled for that Trump would send in additional law enforcement to clean up these places?

Ahh yes, the "Dindu nuffin" defense. Classic.

Unfortunately, it seems like it has already worked over SEVENTY TIMES so far.

There was a time where mentioning this situation would be called a 'dog whistle to racists' by Dems.

It's an achievement that we've turned the page on that *****

I have had multiple black clients tell me when watching the HD video of them committing the crime, that it was not them.

I basically no longer take black clients and if I do, there is a significant upcharge for dealing with their bs.

I'm not advocating violence, but if just one judge were taken out, it would probably course correct itself. Right now, they are free to do as they please because there are no consequences.

I am with the both of you. If on a jury, I would side with anyone who took matters in his or her own hands and did the right thing to not only the criminal but also a judge or two and a DA or two who keeps putting this kind of vermin back out on the street. As other judges and DAs see their brethren punished for doing stupid things, chances are they become less likely to follow in their footsteps.

Here is the answer to your question (if true in her case - I feel like we always have to ask that)
Quote:

But why are these young women taking the train alone, at night, with few others on board, in a liberal hellhole, with their back turned to potential danger and lost in their phone???

An idealistic, ignorant belief that all black people are good and any bad actors have been due to systemic racism/oppression or what have you. There is simply nothing to fear as all the racists spouting racist data would have you believe. Add to that being overly inclined towards emotional reasoning and indoctrinated with white fragility, anti-racist, being an ally, and all that mumbo jumbo and you have a true believer who not only avoids and discredits any contrary evidence they may witness with their own eyes, but a willingness to go out of their way to prove their deluded fantasy about people.

All public transportation does is move people around who you would never choose to associate with on your own.

Taxpayers have no place on public transportation? Are you willing to accept that? Frankly, I think it's absolute bull *****

Agreed, why do we have to live like this? It's like we're told to concede that parts of our once great American cities are simply no go zones because we refuse to do anything about rampant black crime.

First, it's celebrated. Black gangster culture is celebrated in music, sports and movies.

Second, any criticism is race carded.

That said, I do not believe this person's actions were a result of gangsterism. The perpetrator was likely mentally ill and doesn't fit within the narrative concerning "teens". However, that doesn't diminish the responsibility of the judges or the fact that sane members of a group are responsible for the vast majority of violent crime.
I will no longer discuss politics with you. I reject your premises and world view. I am finished trying to compromise with you.

Disagree - in Chicago public transportation isn't just for the poor. All types of people regularly use it.
I used it myself in February 2025 between O'Hare and the Loop. And you better believe I was keeping an eye out the whole time.

Take a look at the surveillance photo - Date Time Stamp - 9:24:41 pm.
  • There are 2 other passengers besides the perp. Note how they are seated. Note that none of them are seated anywhere near each other.
  • White girl, on a train, downtown (Clark/Lake is what's reported) by herself.
  • You've got one job to do. That's your own physical safety/security. You're riding on a train with people you wouldn't be caught dead with otherwise.
  • We can't trust these animals to behave themselves. So, we shouldn't be riding trains with them alone, at night.
Looks like this girl was from a 4,000 person town in the middle of nowhere in Indiana. It is unfortunate that she trusted Chicago public transit to keep her safe at night.

Don't get me wrong, the perp should be executed as far as I'm concerned.

The worst part about this story is that when interviewed about it, the dumb a$$ mayor said basically "this is just an isolated incident." So basically - no reason to get all worked up about it.

If the races were reversed, this guy and all the usual suspects would be screaming on every station possible for justice for the victim.

Disgusting.

Frankly, I think it's past time it did.

Tarring and feathering needs to make a comeback against public officials like this judge. There absolutely needs to be reprocussions - painful reprocussions - for outright negligence at best and criminal conduct at worst for judges that don't do their freaking jobs.

I guarantee you that if it were my daughter, that judge would absolutely suffer after the fact. Any one of us here would agree. Well, most of us here anyway.

Reading about his behavior after his arrest, he seems extremely crazy.

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/man-faces-federal-terrorism-charges-setting-woman-fire-blue-line-train/

Quote:

Reed appeared for an initial hearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Laura K. McNally at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon. He entered the courtroom in handcuffs and a spit guard around his mouth.

During the hearing, Reed made multiple outbursts. One line he repeatedly stated was, "I am guilty, and I will be my own attorney!"

But the judge did not accept the plea, as the hearing was intended just to establish the basis for the federal charges.

When the judge started talking with Reed, he said, "Don't talk to me!" and screamed, "La, la, la," to prevent the judge from talking. He also said, "I don't want an attorney," and, "I'll be my own attorney."

When Reed heard he was facing terrorism charges, he was taken aback as he said: "Terrorism? What is this all about?"

He also claimed to be a citizen of China and asked the judge to notify the Chinese Consulate of his arrest.

It seems to me that if a bartender is liable for over-serving a customer who commits a crime, a judge should be held to at least that high of standard for releasing career criminals back into the public

They have judicial immunity which is a form of sovereign immunity and it is absolute for non ministerial acts.

Perhaps it should have more limits.

Judges, like cops, need to be reigned in. Remove their God complex and make them suffer like the common criminals they are.
