Yep, it's a classic, obvious bubble. Been saying that for months now.

Also, I think Sam Altman is a bad actor and can't be trusted.

I guess my YouTube screen time has been replaced by like 1500 5 year olds that have been given unrestricted access to tablets by Mom and Dad, but I've all but quit watching anything new on YT over three minutes.

YT Is a business and I am consumer but the ads and AI have gotten terrible so I choose to do other stuff.

These scammy CEOs are up to their tricks again and we (the US tax payer) will somehow be left holding the bag while they get rich.

Book it.

The most interesting thing is the way they will creatively engineer this so that we, the tax payer feel that they are doing us a favor by working to change the world using AI, and whatever went wrong is ultimately our fault, so we have to bail them out.

It's all of social media. My only social media account is IG. I don't ever post on it but my feed is all AI videos. I rarely ever see a post from actual friends anymore. Kind of wild really. I think everyone has given up on it and IG is now Dead Internet Theory along with Reddit. I hear Facebook is similar but not as bad as IG. Don't know.

Two things can be and I believe are true at once:
1. Sam is a con-man and a crook. Do not trust him, at all.
2. AI is revolutionizing how we work, and whether you believe that or not is irrelevant.

I'm not talking about the outward side of this with things like creating memes and videos, but real work at real companies across the globe, and the pace of increase is absurd. From "it could never code" to "we no longer need to write code" in just a few a few short years. From manufacturing, to defect analysis, to medical and all manner of stuff in between. And even stupid memes.

The government is funding Larry Ellison and Michigan's qb Underwood....

Who is funding this? Yes, please blend John Wick, Neo, Harry Potter, and Deadpool together! This is what I voted for!

People think just in tech terms, not human terms.

No one likes AI slop anymore. It was interesting at first to see people from photos of 1911 come to life, but beyond that no one like AI videos that are all over Youtube now. Even twitter is full of fake AI stuff.

There will be a backlash and companies will put in AI filters to keep them out of your feed. That is coming next so you and I have control. They are just letting it play out for now until it gets to a point where it affects their business.

In about 3-4 years, anything AI will be pushed aside. Doesn't matter what these AI-company CEOs say, ultimately it is humans who decide and humans will get sick of fake AI. Just look at twitter at the comments after a video. you will see tons of people asking "@grok, is this AI?". Everything thinks everything is AI now. Backlash coming.
