Want Gotham IRL? This is how NYC voters get Gotham In Real Life. There will be no DC superheroes to save them.

Not happy about the property tax one that takes money away from the schools. Can't they cut something else? Why is it always the schools?
I'm happy to have a property tax break, but they need to cut other stuff.
It doesn't take a dime from the schools. The state makes up the difference so the schools can still waste the money as they see fit.
Are you able to back this up?

Some people aren't operating under a meritocracy .Now the White House is intimidating conservative donors in red states from supporting grassroots candidates against their establishment endorsed candidates who use their consultants. The least we can do is elect people in deep red states who will make what DeSantis did in FL…

The Democratic party is dead. The socialists and communists used Alinsky's rules to kill it and wear its carcass proudly.
This is a cope, considering they just won big.

What? Who is in charge? Pelosi is getting out. Schumer is going to lose to AOC. Jeffries is going to lose when he eventually get primaried - unless he turns hard socialist. The energy is with the socialists. Not traditional democrats. They are getting consumed.

Maybe they will perform better, we have data showing GIVING More money makes no difference.

Trump thinks last night was bad for republicans and thinks the government has to open “immediately.”
And he seems to believes the bad election results are directly related to the now 36-day shutdown. pic.twitter.com/5YU9ngUgla

Virginia is a state heavily impacted by federal workers and shutdowns. It's unique in that way and difficult to extrapolite those results across 50 states.
In 2021 the state went heavily republican and voted a GOP governor. Less than a year later the 2022 midterms Va was blue again.

The funny part will be when new Jersey barely elects the dem, the story will be somehow that's a rebuke of trump whereas any election in the last 10 years that was close the opposite way- blue nearly got it in a red state, was about rising discontention with trunp/republicans/white people.
No matter the outcome, it will be spun anti trump or anti republican

Is it really a maga rebuke? Expected results are a rebuke?
If it was Texas or Oklahoma or Florida, then sure. But Virginia, jersey and NYC? Nah
As far as I remember Virginia has always been a blue/purple state. With the shutdown, I bet a ton of service members voted dem in spite of Hegseth, Trump and company.

You are, of course, correct that Virginia is purple - though trending blue as of late - primarily due to the growing numbers of more progressive voters in the DC suburbs.
However, realize that military (active duty and veterans) may be voting Dem now NOT "in spite of Hegseth, Trump and company" but BECAUSE of intense dislike and unhappiness with Hegseth, Trump and company.
I would venture to say that the majority of the military (all ranks - not just senior leadership) does NOT view Hegseth, in particular, with much favorability.
Native New Yorkers largely rejected Mamdani, while those who had lived in the city for less than five years voted for him in overwhelming numbers. pic.twitter.com/8bU6UW1Vsa
