They used to be all about wanting free stuff. That's what moderate normal democrats wanted. However, the far left isn't happy with just getting. They derive enjoyment from the act of taking and using it as punishment too.

Yeah, it's not "quiet". It's a public civil war that anyone paying attention to current events should be aware of.

And I hope they destroy themselves but I worry about the obvious ramifications of what Kenneth said. We can only hope that the "moderate" Democrats try to start their own party and simply split their voters between them and the communists.

He admits he hasn't changed. He's still a liberal in his mind. He's not actually a moderate how any of us would define it.

Their 2028 primary will be an interesting watch because guys like Newsome who you'd assume would be smart enough to run more as a moderate (even though I think he's still way left) will have to veer harder left to potentially win. They don't have the balls to stand up there and denounce AOC as crazy and unAmerican. Further, at some point if they try to rig the primary again like they've done to Bernie twice, that bunch is radical enough to split off and run as a third party.

The problem with Cuomo is that he killed a bunch of old people for money. Apparently they don't like that.

It sucks that Mamdani is winning, but I'm glad Cuomo is getting chewed up and spit out.

Ive got my popcorn for when the muslim socialist is voted in. Liberals want socialism, let's try it out in New York. This will be fun to watch.

As with Rs a decade ago, they didn't realize the shift until they were out of power. The Rs shifted more to the center, easing stances on abortion, same sex marriage, etc. The Ds took that as acceptance and headed full tilt left. And shoved the remaining center over to Rs.

Trump did well to get abortion sent to the states and taken away as a national issue (mostly). Doing the same on education, disaster relief, and need to do similar on healthcare (not sure if sending to states is better, but its the only way to stop federalized healthcare - if it can even be stopped at this point).

Rs need to ensure they do not take the pendulum swing too far right. It will not be easy, the temptation will be huge. But to stay in power it has to be measured.
