You laugh but I think she would have a shot. Certainly a shot at the nomination. She is young, energetic, a populist who thinks everything should be free. Female. She resonates with young idealists.

She is a young Bernie Sanders.

She could easily collect votes in droves in primaries.

Her problem is she couldn't win a national election if she tried. And that's the problem the Dems had with Bernie and why they rigged their convention and delegate process to squeeze him out.

They did exactly what was needed to provide an environmental regulatory framework however over the years idiots like her have gone WAY TOO FAR with regulatory "protecting" the environment.

At a level they think it won't. They also thought it was an entirely benign chemical, because it was so non-reactive with everything. There are undoubtedly people on this thread concerned about fluoride, microplastics and chlorine in water, but mocking AOC for highlighting PFAS contamination just because she mispoke.


I'm not a PFAS doomer or anything, but concerns over water contamination aren't outrageous and I'm more on the side of radical awareness/transparency so people know what's going on even if it is actually benign.

She is not smart and not a serious person, but these sentiments are a major part of MAHA and true.

Even with all of the pollution, the average life expectancy in this country continues to increase. It's almost like the technological improvements outweigh the side-effects in terms of our longevity. Not saying to ignore pollution (at all), and I understand that you gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelette.
