Well, she could be right in a way. The recidivism rate is incredibly high for pedophiles and ephebephilies. It may be deeply behaviorally ingrained, and maybe we should start treating it as such. Institutionalizing or permanently isolating them from children.
The act is what is illegal, but the data would seem to indicate the great majority of these persons are unwilling or unable to control their urges to exploit and harm children.
So, maybe if they identify that way, we assign them to a place like a colony or something where they can live permanently separate from any children, where they can't do the harm that would require imprisonment in an actual prison and maybe they can lead otherwise productive lives. Of course we would immediately get civil right complaints about such a permanent internment camp or colony, but I'd see it as saving them from themselves, and saving us the cost of trials and long term imprisonment when they can otherwise maybe have jobs and live out their lives in an environment where they can't do harm.
Of course, this would have the problem that a lot of these types will not voluntarily self identify and only get detected after doing harm to children, so they'd spend a lot of time in prison anyways but maybe they go straight there when they get out of actual prison.
Maybe we can put to use the unoccupied Aleutian Islands or something.
Do you not follow the news? THIS is what Greenland can be used for :-)
In all seriousness, Democrats have allowed the camel's nose under the tent. Unfortunately for the sake of our youth, there is no stopping this depravity. They'll normalize it just like any sane person saw coming years ago and miles away. Pedophiles will be codified as a minority when D's have control of Congress, they'll be murdered for their actions, it'll embolden the sickness in our population, and erode the fabric of our civilization even faster.
There aren't too many things that make me as angry as the notion of stealing someone's childhood. When this does become a social norm, I'll have made it known that this was a line in the sand I wasn't willing to cross, and I'll have to repent for my actions.
...take it easy on me, I'm a normal horn
