are Jack Posobiec, Benny Johnson, and Tucker Carlson. Does that change your view of Charlie Kirk?

It doesn't change mine because I've followed him for a decade and understood where he was coming from.

Like many, he began a libertarian but eventually moved to the right. His positions went from close to Tom Woods to close to Auron MacIntyre.

If the former, I really wouldn't care. People have all kind of different friends. See Scalia and Ginsberg.

If you mean the latter, I reject that as being accurate. I can't speak for the other two, but Kirk and Carlson had clearly very different view on Israel and the Middle East.

On domestic issues, I suspect Kirk and Carlson had most everything in common. But Carlson has become a loon on foreign issue. Kirk never endorsed any of that nonsense.

Is that really controversial? Can any doubt a political pressure group serves its own goals first? Kirk's conclusion about priorities seems almost self-evident. Its not anything anti-semitic.

Not sure what cadre you're talking about, but I generally avoid debate with neocons because it was tiresome in the 2000's and there are larger issues.

That said, there's only one group trying to capitalize off his absence.

Charlie was trying to express to Bibi that things were not good and they needed to change. He agreed with shared values and was willing to go out of his way for Israel to get Gen Z back. It's that important for the GOP.

That's what I was addressing in the conspiracy theorist thread below.

Charlie wasn't shot by Israel or the Jews. Candace has gone off the deep-end and went full on obsessed. There's a difference between what Candace is saying and what Tucker and Megyn Kelly are frustrated with. If you just found out who Charlie Kirk was on September 10th, or were vaguely aware of him, you're probably not in tune to everything going on with Turning Point over the summer.

There's a reason why Tucker hosted the Friday episode of the Charlie Kirk Show the week after Charlie was killed. There's a reason why Tucker had a prominent position in the memorial service.

Charlie was a big tent guy who wanted to bring every faction of the Republican Party together despite significant differences within the factions. He was receiving significant push back from his donors and the party for his relationship with Tucker. He was also receiving pushback from telling them what he was seeing on the ground from Gen Z with regard to economic and foreign policies.

He dug in despite what it meant financially to TPUSA. Carlson and Kelly are primarily frustrated with people trying to capitalize on his loss. The greatest example is neocons propping up Brilyn Hollyhand to be Charlie's hand-picked replacement when nothing could be further from the truth based on what the Turning Point guys have said.

I understand the distinction being made now, yes. Its clear. And Charlie Kirk would know about the "on ground from Gen Z" from that crazy string of debates on campuses in 2019, and how that is trending. If you are right about neocons behind this guy (and appearing an hour after declared dead does sound opportunist) then its kind of a repeat of what happend with the Tea Party being attempted. A co-opting.

Charlie was married to Erika Kirk. Based on my observations about how they treated each other, and the 10's of thousands of hours of videos of Kirk arguing with college students, he likely didn't have a single bone in his body that was hateful.

The antisemites that was to go crazy with Charlie Kirk's memory, are just that, crazy. Same goes with the people that want to paint him as some crazy Zionist. Both those arguments are dumb.

Okay, watching the Megyn Kelly // Charlie Kirk August 6th discussion even though it starts at beginniing kind of chopped it seems to be in reaction to a poll saying something to the effect of below age 35 there is almost zero support (for style of war? what doing? --context is only partial here) and this clearly is what Kirk was about "trying to bring back Gen Z". It also aligns with some of those dissident right jousts with him. Now the Amazing thing is some bigshots asking Kirk - why is Megyn supporting Hamas --- a preposterous take on her stance that Kirk proceeds to ridicule here. Looks like it is one of those "inner party" clashes where you have an absolutely tone-deaf group that sees any attempt to sound a warning as somehow jumping the fence.

Charlie had lost a lot of his biggest donors for not shunning Tucker. It was a big issue this summer. Just from what I can recall, the last big donor he was going to lose was a former big Dem donor who only shifted to the GOP after the stupidity on college campuses around Palestine in 2024. Charlie told him if you're gonna be that way we'll have Tucker speak for 3 nights at Am Fest.

This is ridiculous (not the post) - the situation. Megyn, Kirk, Tucker all called anti-semite -- where does Bongino fit into this? He was real chummy with all.

Now Tucker with his recent statements about sharia (in another thread) is clearly straying too in what now appears to be just a hardcore isolationism. But still -- this is crazy.

That's interesting. Charlie Kirk had a point. Criticizing a govt doesn't mean anything. You think it means you are anti Arab automatically if you criticize the govt of Jordan? Anti-Slavic to criticize Russia? Hardly. So he was running into a bit of that. It wasn't even Jewish donor pressure by the sound of it.
