While I will agree that the Colonel's Original Recipe is some of the best chicken around when done right, I haven't been to a KFC in many years that has given a damn about the quality of the product.

But then, even back in the 1970's, less than 10 years after Sander's sold out his company, he would visit locations and be very, very critical of what they had done to his masterpiece chicken, so I suppose my experience is nothing new.

As for recipe reveals, I sure wish Pepsi would swallow their corporate pride and reverse engineer the Coke formula. They could call it 'Pepsi Sharp' or something like that and sell it alongside their 18-million flavor variations of Mountain Dew to those of us who groan when we hear the phrase "No Coke, Just Pepsi."

Modern fast food is a disgusting shell of what it used to be.

Chipotle's "claim to fame" or "Hallmark" is that they prep their food fresh in the store. That's a LOW bar to clear. But what it means is that everything else at every other store is trucked in prepared, frozen, and ready for the fryer or the microwave.

In the 70s French fry ingredients were potatoes, flour, beef tallow, and salt... Today? Even the oil has a laundry list of ingredients.

The Colonel's 11 herbs and spices are the LEAST of KFCs or fast food's as a whole problems

I tell you guys what, KFC is elite here in the UAE. Actually having employees that give a damn make all the difference. The chicken is perfectly cooked and delivered hot and crispy.

I used to get KFC somewhat regularly right out of A&M and on to my first job, before I got married. Then I remember taking my wife there sometime 2001, before she started on her "health first" journey.

She absolutely gets livid if I ever think of letting our teenage daughter have KFC.

I used to love KFC. Only fast food chicken I would eat.

It is terrible, terrible, terrible now.

The employees are utterly indifferent to the customers.

The chicken is just barely edible.

The Pepsi is so bad it makes me take their sweet tea, which in itself is undrinkable.

It's a mess.

I just want to know how to make a Flaming Moe. I've got it mostly figured out. I'm close, but there's something missing.

I had a chance to eat at the original KFC in Corbin Kentucky. It was a disappointment. You would have thought that it would have been almost a museum type atmosphere….or at least something kinda special. Nope. Not at all.

….the food served really wasn't too knotch either. You would think the experience would be the food cooked and served would be executed well.

Fried chicken is not like it used to be. I am 60 and growing up my mom would always get fried chicken on Sunday. In Del Rio, the two choices were KFC or Churches. Most of the time it was churches, until they would serve too many small pieces of chicken…..then mom would flip establishment.

To this day I would choose Churches with the old dinners rolls. I hate those biscuits. I hate all biscuits in general.

Hawaiian rolls would be killer.

I don't eat fast food pretty much at all, anymore, but they're overly expensive and not even in the top 5 chicken meals. Hell, Bill Millers makes better fried chicken.

Oh no...with that information, someone is going to instantly develop a worldwide chain of established restaurants, replete with supply chain, reputation and corporate structure...and ultimately destroy KFC.
