Honestly that is just science and medicine. The human body, particularly on the biochemical level, is gloriously complicated. It is very very hard if not impossible to figure out what goes wrong in the miracle of a sperm and an egg becoming a person.

Well RFK promised to reveal the cause of Autism in September. Everyone in the field knew that was a dumb thing to claim months ago and I guess this is the "big reveal".

The leucovorin piece is much more important right away honestly. Has me looking at investing in the manufacturer actually.

Thimerosal contains mercury, which is a known neurotoxin to humans, particularly to young children and fetuses.

I trust RFK, but this doesn't look good at all. My social media feed, which includes a few physicians, is 99% against. The main argument is that the study showing a link for acetaminophen, are flawed, and there's other longer term bigger studies that showed no link.

I really hope RFK did his homework.

Thimerosal free vaccines are already basically available for any recommended vaccine and has mostly been phased out for the last 20 years. Not sure it would be the red herring you think it is if we believe autism cases are increasing during this same phase out period.

Thimerosal was taken out of childhood vaccines in the United States in 2001. This fact comes directly from the CDC.

It is sparingly used today (for multi-dose), but there was still no evidence linking to thimerosal to any issues, including autism.

Whenever a doc recommends Acetaminophen for pain I tell them I'd rather just take some M&Ms, since they give me just as much pain relief but they taste better...

Not that it still in use or anything but the human body reacts to ethylmercury much differently than it does methylmercury.

It's an example of how we're all still different chemically on the inside. Some people naturally respond better to ibuprofen over acetaminophen. Some people not at all to hydrocodone. Benadryl makes most people sleepy, I know some it hypes up. I can drink caffeine later in the evening and it doesn't affect my sleep.

Tylenol actually works great for my headaches. Current recommendation is to take both ibuprofen and Tylenol together.
