I used to read a few non political subs, but in the lead up to the 2024 election, people began posting unhinged political rants and derails even on those (we're talking trump is a fascist screeds on the camping sub, things like that). Mods didn't do anything; just let a bunch of outsiders overrun non political boards with unrelated crap and ruin discussions.
Dropped it and haven't gone back.

The best way to use reddit is to Google your questions or problems and find some guy who fixed exactly what you need to fix 10 years ago and posted a step by step about it on Reddit.
