Here is his statement, doesn't really match the headline.

Quote:

"I mean, there is a lot of rhetoric. And the president himself engages in it he called it a hostile act to co-sponsor the Epstein resolution," said Massie, who was a leading voice in pushing a motion to force the release of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. "I think that's ridiculous rhetoric."
"It's amusing," he added. "It doesn't offend me that he's over the top with the rhetoric, but some people take it literally, and he should probably tone that down himself."

Massie just speaks his mind. I don't agree with everything he says but he is as strong of a supporter of Trump there is when he agrees with him and he isn't afraid to criticize him either. I don't know that we need a Congress full of Massie's but having one has value. He is no Liz Cheney opportunist, if anything he is exactly the opposite in being someone that has consistent values and positions no matter what outside events occur. There are an awful lot of times Massie was either the lone voice or close to it opposing Trump in the GOP and he was later proven right.

Don't worry though, eventually I'm sure they will get him run out so we can get some Dan Crenshaw or Michael McCaul style Republican to replace him.

Massie is a MTG styled antagonist.

See how many votes where he is the lone Republican siding with the Ds to make a point.

He's principled alright, those principles being antagonist, bloviation, and look at me-ism.

He is incapable of speaking his mind as there is simply no mind to speak for.

Funny how we complain about the uniparty then get mad when somebody doesn't always vote with the uniparty lol

He has nothing in common with MTG. Massie has 2 Engineering degrees from MIT and is likely one of the most intelligent people in Congress in terms of IQ and ability to understand complex issues. He rarely raises his voice and he speaks calmly and in great depth on issues. MTG is more of a Hannity style screamer that knows about half of what she is talking about and uses her screaming to cover the stuff she doesn't know.

I'd love for any Massie critic to sit down and have a calm and moderated debate with him and see how that works out.

A couple months ago I posted Cernovich calling out Rand and Massey as frauds. Initially I thought it was a personal beef, but it turns out he has been 100% correct. There's no better source than Cerno, for what's going on behind the scenes..

He is a must follow on X

Sure

1st question: what have you accomplished?

2nd: why aren't you impeaching federal judges?

3rd: do you support ending all illegal immigration enclosing the loopholes for H1B/vis abuses?

4th: why didn't you defund USAID years ago?

If he has such wonderful principles and ideals, why does he need rules in order to sit down and debate someone? How much of an empty suit is that guy?

You are free to love Massie all you want. I am free to think he is a thoughtless assclown in it for himself.

So he votes with libs for what reason? Oh yea, so he can get some camera time and clicks for being the principled stand up guy.

And an R voting with libs is THE VERY DEFINITION of the uniparty.

Thanks for providing support for my position.

I don't love Massie but I do respect him and think he should be characterized fairly. He doesn't "need" a calm and moderated debate, just saying that if he was given one he would crush an opponent. He does just fine when confronted like lunatic lefties like the Dem who got kicked out of Congress for pulling a fire alarm. He just smiles and hits back with facts and reason. That's not MTG. I don't hate MTG either btw and she has her uses but they aren't remotely similar. Remember as well MTG was taking calls from Trump on the House floor during the leadership race and passing around her phone, she's about as hard core populist/devotee of Trump that there is. Essentially her and Matt Gaetz were inseparable.

He is one of 435 and Leadership hates him because he points out their lack of action and effectiveness. Mainly they hate him because he tells the truth about spending and debt. He has been very effective on doing a lot of the dirty work in committees however. He's the type of guy who goes through all the fine print and gets language changed when lefties try to manipulate the law, especially on gun control. Democrats would love for him to be gone and replaced by another no name R vote that is mainly interested in enriching themselves and going along.

Few men are hated as much as the one who can't be corrupted.

Man, you really need to look deeper into this. He's an open borders puppet. He says what you want to hear, but nothing ever gets done.

I could keep arguing, but if you still support him after his statements today, you're hopeless.

He's more libertarian on immigration than I am but at least he makes coherent arguments and he is anything but a puppet of anyone, I think he has made that case clear considering he has no fear of being outvoted 434-1 on a bill if he disagrees with it. He also isn't an open borders advocate at all, his issue with the last immigration bill was with E Verify because he has concerns about it being abused similar to how the Patriot Act was abused with the FISA courts. He is a big believer in protecting personal freedoms and controlling the size of the government while restricting their power because he knows that at some point it we get another Obama or Biden that will abuse the hell out of those laws in ways we never intended. Unfortunately since those bills get written in back rooms with RINOs like Johnson they don't prioritize that.

The reality is you actually want more puppets that don't ask questions and just go along. I'd rather have someone I may not agree with on everything but is at least transparent and holding Congress and the government to account while not being focused on building their personal wealth. Guys like Massie have been proven right time and again when they bring up concerns in some of these massive bills and the same people that are calling for his head would have loved for us to have listened to him for instance when they passed the disastrous Covid spending bills or he fought to stop Trump when he was ready to side with the RINOs on gun control. The real irony is Massie would be just fine if he loses his House seat, his life isn't defined by politics and he'd love to just work on his farm and develop new technologies that he currently does in his spare time.

You should really listen to the man and not just look at headlines from people that hate him because he shines the light on the flaws in their arguments. Simply because Massie refuses to be an automatic "yes" vote on every policy Trump advocates doesn't make him open borders or a RINO.

As for his "statements from today" he was talking about the Epstein files and how Trump has attacked people like him for wanting them released. I want those files all made public so I agree with him.

Getting real tired of Massie's anti-Trump schtick. The Left needs to pay a price for this. They fan the flames and openly celebrate the murder of political opponents. Half of them publicly worship Luigi Mangione. EVERYONE needs to understand their depravity and know the mindset we're up against. They can't be shamed, but they can be fired / marginalized.

What price would you suggest? And by what means?

A political price via any number of legal means: firing, cancelling but mostly very publicly exposing their true beliefs so that a majority of voters will see them as unfit to lead. Continue to bait them into supporting criminals and other depravity. I love these intentionally obtuse questions.

Continue to bait them? Please. They haven't been "baited". Brimstone flows in torrents from their demonic little minds; those anarchy chasers don't require any baiting.

He got elected to further divide the country?

Not the best strategy but I'd agree if that's what he was elected to do he's succeeding.

How is Trump dividing the country? By standing up for law and order? Common sense? American values?

We are divided because those on the left hate America.

If you hate it this much, please leave.
