Young folks are hurting tonight. Charlie Kirk was highly influential with those under 30. My kids have been deeply affected by this. All their friends are impacted. Any kid on a college campus in the last decade has been to a TP USA event.

They feel like they've been directly attacked for loving God, their families and being patriots. Thats what he was and he was killed for it.

Listen to them. Let them know you understand what they are feeling. Encourage them to stand steadfast and not be silenced. He went into the lions den . Charlie could not be silenced or demoralized. So they killed him.

He was a voice of reason and a God fearing family man.

My folks had to grapple with JFK and RFK assassinations. They said it was a similar empty and helpless feeling.

Absolutely brutal day

Was shocked when my 14 year old texted me as soon as school was out and asked if I heard about Charlie.

I knew my older kids watched him, but he said everyone at school was talking about it as well and they all had watched his videos.

I pray that someone can feel the void for these kids and TP can put forth 10X the conservative voices to try to fill the large hole that we now all feel...

On the heals of Charlotte especially. We're not safe anymore.

I was absolutely ignorant of this fine man's influence on the younger generations until today. My son is 17 and is really upset about this. We talked for a good while about people, politics, and God. I wish I would have learned more about him before this tragedy occurred.

I believe that if the intention of this act was to silence a voice, then they have failed. My wish and I think reality is that this has just reinforced a growing movement of young people.
Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022

Had to try and make sense of it with my 12 and 15 year old sons this evening. They will never forget today. And this will backfire on the left when they reach voting age.

All he did was try to debate. He went into the lions den and forced them to defend the indefensible. They tried to label him and he would be labeled.

The Marxist playbook is simple. Silence you if I can, it doesn't attract as much attention. Read The Gulag Archipelago.... demoralization is the goal. If I can get you to admit to something preposterous, then I can get you to do anything. When you can't be silenced or demoralized, they kill.

Love God, Love your family, Love your country. Let the young folks know "that is the way".

My son is 24 and conservative. I haven't heard him talk about Charlie before but I figured with his age he's probably heard of him.

Turns out he was devastated by this and watched many of his videos and debates. He unfortunately saw the video of the shooting and was horrified that this happened to someone he had looked up to. The left is truly evil.
No, I don't care what CNN or Miss NOW said this time

I know that under 20 are very into Charlie. I dont think the left know the mistake they've made but I never did take time to think of how this is hurting the younger people. Ive gone through hurt and sudden loss. This is most of their first time and especially at the level, to have seen somebody killed.

I heard about it from my 20 year olds. They visited Kirk when he came to campus. Immense sadness, like someone turned out the lights on intellectuality

He made young patriots on campus know it was ok to be normal and not fall for the indoctrination.

I understand the topic, the desire, the need, about talking to the young folks, and my wife has access to more young folks than most do daily.

My wife, born in the 70's was sitting on the couch, watching the news, with a box of Kleenex when I got home.

This is definitely a very tragic event to happen, and I am praying for his family. However, I do not think there should be an attack or blame against the left. A single persons action, that people both sides of the aisle denounced regardless on how they feel towards Charlie, should not be used as ammunition against a whole party. That's not what the right thing to do in response to a tragic event like this.

TLDR: While the event is tragic, it should not be used to attack the other side, rather bring everyone together in prayer and in unity against violence in general.

I do disagree. There's an enemy with us and it isn't on the right. They tried to kill Trump, a white girl was killed for being white and now they've killed a leading conservative. Let's be respectful but real, these are not good people and we've seen the left already trying to act like this was nothing. Keep your head on a swivel and realize that this is the level of depravity they spawn.

Yes the endless "Trump and every one of his supporters is a Nazi" rhetoric for the last decade probably had very little impact, if in fact this was some random person.

Or... It was entirely orchestrated by the people at the very top.

All three of my kids (14/11/11) broke down and cried when hearing the news. We have some connections to Charlie through my wife's family, but my oldest found his videos online and started watching them about a year ago. We'd watch them as a family at times. I got the chance to spend some time with Charlie in a very small setting before his ascent really took off. He was probably 21-22 at the time. Today is such a devastating day.

Craxy last few days.. starting with the A&M campus stuff and then this tragedy… not sure I've lived through something like this other than 9/11. This senseless tragic event is going to affect a lot of people and mostly the young people of our nation. Just terrible

The left did this. The media did this. Democrat politicians did this. Joe Biden and Hussein Obama did this. You're damned right they'll get the blame. They made it happen.
TheRealJacob

Yes, I agree there is a lot in our country that needs to be fixed, but continuing with pointing fingers and blame is not going to fix the problem. By uniting as one America and having both sides realize that violence is not the answer and these things can be settled in a respectful way political violence can be stopped. Over the past few years there's been multiple political attacks and it needs to stop. Both sides leaders and prominent figures have said they want an end to violence. What needs to change is can't tell you but pushing people against one another is not going to help the cause at all.
TheRealJacob

I would like to know how Joe Biden and Obama were involved in this. Neither have made any public comments about Kirk before the shooting and both highly condemned political violence.

I will agree with you on the media playing a role. There has been a noticeable bias in what is posted online by media outlets, however none have called for political violence or reported it in a positive light. So while they may be a contributing factor in separating Americans they shouldn't be held responsible for what happened.

Wrong. When they portray anyone that disagrees with them as a facist, nazi, existential threat to democracy, literally Hitler, racist, white suprematist, what do you think the natural progression of that is?

If you think the right has attacked then youre woefully unprepared when they do.

You cant ask for an end when they start it.

The 2011 Tucson shooting and the attack that killed 2 Minnesota lawmakers this year? That seems like political violence by the right and while it shouldn't happen and it should end it won't because neither side can grow up and let America come together as one. Both sides need to stop attacking the other sides every move and stop this violence now. Saying the right needs to retaliate is not the answer and not what Kirk would have called for either.

If anything, Charlie's death may embolden and weirdly further inspire those (including your kids) who understood and adopted his views.

This attack is yet another confirmation that radical elements are at work in our country to stifle the hard truths addressed (or that need to be addressed) in this country and to intimidate and literally kill those who speak those truths and expose evil.

Seriously...you can't be that dense, well I guess you are.

If not for the Obama/Biden years, Charlie Kirk never would have been Charlie Kirk. If you are unable to see the causal relationship there, then dude, please see a surgeon about a cranial-proctectomy soon.

..and if you believe the words from a Democrat's mouth, then I have some ocean front property in Arizona that you're going to love!
TheRealJacob
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Wow, oceanfront property in Arizona? Is that listed next to the latest "guaranteed promises" from politicians on both sides? If there's one thing they deliver, tall tales make oceanfront property in Arizona look almost believable. If believing Charlie Kirk getting shot is on Obama and Biden, maybe you should check Zillow there might actually be a beachfront resort in the desert where logic goes to retire.
