I used to work for a company had DEI training encouraging employees to wear a rainbow lanyard to show you are a "safe person". It slowly got to the point where if you didnt wear it, people would think you were protesting it, and might be anti-LGBT. A literal episode of Seinfeld, "where is your ribbon!".

I remember in March 2001 when the gays at A&M held a "Wear jeans if you're gay" day. It was a Friday and I had a morning KINE 199 class, so I had an excuse not to wear jeans, but I made a point that day not to change clothes afterwards.

In absolute numbers, probably. Per capita, I'm not sure.

But hanging has always been a popular death sentence throughout the world. Simple, cheap, and never needs sharpening (unlike swords or guillotines).

It would be interesting to see just what race/ethnicity has had more deaths by hangings throughout the known history. I'd think China or Africa would take that title, assuming they did hangings.

Some black guy or gal "finds a noose" or "finds a horrible racist threatening note", conveniently finds a lawyer specializing in this issue, threatens to sue the company for millions for toxic workplace, racial harassment and makes a cool $25,000-$50,000 settling. Company looks at this as cheaper than going through the lawsuit with the publicity. Lawyer gets 50-60% as a fee. Rinse and repeat. Company makes everyone go through racism training. Nothing on record so fella goes to the next job and, well, you won't believe what he finds….
