Well, we all full well know that undocumented migrants commit crimes at rates much lower than the rest of the population. That means 8-10% of the population must be murderers.

Tell it to the victims' families.

That percentage is actually quite high. Imagine going to a game at Kyle Field and more than 6,000 of those in the stands are murderers. Apply it to the US population and you would have 20 million murderers.

Bad topic name because the original X poster doesn't know how to read. ICE has detained 6% of the known illegals that are in the country is a lot different that saying. 6% of those detained have been convicted of homicide. I bet a large number of the 94% here illegally that have committed homicide are in jail. I would keep those in jail until the term is up and then take them immediately from jail to a deportation flight.

Any that are not in jail should be the focus of ICE deportations. Same with the rapists and other violent criminals. After we take care of them, then let's focus on other illegals.

The OP is about the tweet-er misinterpreting the statistic but most of the responses to this thread are running with the misinterpretation.

The statistic is that only 6% of the illegals that ICE told congress last fall it knows of that are in the country and convicted of murder have been deported.

So last fall, ICE said there were 13,099 illegals in the country that had been convicted of murder. Thus far, ICE has only deported 752 of them (or 6%).
