We've been seeing how Russia and the Ukraine are using cheap, consumer grade drones to attack each other with devastating results.

Does anyone doubt that terrorists have taken notice and could be plotting to use them against the western world? Imagine what they could do with drones to attack large gatherings of people, large infrastructure, transportation centers, and downtown.

Is there anything we should start doing to prepare ourselves?

I have never taken preppers seriously before, but that might be the best thing we can do to protect ourselves and our families. It might not do anything to stop them, but it might enhance our own ability to survive such attacks.

Thoughts? Is anyone already starting on this?

I live in a rural area, so I'm not too concerned about it.

Change the laws on shooting drones. That would be a good first step.

I'm quite rural, too, but the side effects of such attacks could be far reaching.

I used to think that the main worry was the city people fanning out into the countryside. I figured they would run out of gas before they got near me so I wasn't worried.

But widespread drone attacks from terrorists could create major effects that ripple out nearly everywhere.

of course that is inevitable

If a drone was used in a terrorist attack in the US, you wouldn't need to change the law. The People would declare open season

One thing that would not be too surprising is if the government made it difficult to buy drones.

I suspect that wouldn't help much.

My son-in-law helped found a company that made shells with tungsten shot, so that's an option, too. He sold his part to the other founders, but the option is out there

Not at all. I'm just saying you can't hide out in your house and not go to concerts/sporting events/etc because someone might attack it.

That wouldn't affect me much. At my age, I'm not particularly interested in concerts and in a town of about 1,000 people, sporting evens would be less likely to be affected.

Far more devastating would be attacks on major infrastructure and on major businesses in which you have stock.

It's only a matter of time. Thousands of militant Muslims have entered the country in the last 4 years.

Why waste time fretting over things that are completely beyond your control? About the only thing you can do is stop voting for Democrats who refuse to secure our borders. Carry and train.

Outside of that, live your life. If you live in worry/fear, the terrorists have already achieved their goal.

Don't vote for the political party that opens the border as a start. We have people in our country now that want to do us harm, including the Democrat Party.

Not always. I woke up in the middle of one once.

I've been prepping since the covid nonsense. I've got enough food and water for probably about 8 months to a year if I rationed and couldn't go outside for some reason. Of course , I do live within a couple of miles from downtown so if the big one was dropped It really wouldn't matter.

Gonna start my own drone business and call them AR Drones. Make millions.
