Can someone explain why this is necessary and what it will do for our children?
If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

Remind them what the moral baseline of our country is about - well was about. I guess you're right - we can just all devolve to be heathens to do whatever and whenever we want.

It's symbolic, like lots of other stuff we do. What does naming a school after a real person do for the students?

Its not just symbolic.
It's a moral code that we can all live by, irrespective of your religion.

It's dumb and it's playing politics. And it's being proposed by a group of people (politicians) who probably follow less of them than most people.

Religion should be taught by parents and by church leaders, not by public school teachers.

It'll do nothing to fix the education problems, but man it'll make some people feel good.

This is as dumb as putting pride flags everywhere. Actually tackle the problems instead of just wasting time.

Several thoughts:

1) Should be the Constitution.
2) They're making the school districts pay for it… just exactly what they need, less money.
3) I'm really glad Republicans are forcing us to teach kindergarteners what adultery means.

Can't have the Ten Commandments on the wall, but let's stock "Tommie straps a Dildo" in the school library instead. /libs

Putting the Ten Commandments in school and banning gummies. Focusing on the real important things.

Oh for sure. Certainly don't want people making decisions on how to live their own lives.

I distrust politicians and church leaders, and have done quite well in life by adopting this approach.

No real religion in schools resulted in the left's religion of wokeness, democrat party platforms and sex with students by some teachers.

Putting God back in schools, putting patriotism back
in schools and reciting the Pledge of Alligence daily would produce miraculous results.

The ignorant boobs being turned out of public schools by leftist teachers and faculty will mostly fail because they were indoctrinated and not taught the basics required to be successful.

Fair. I guess it never bothered me even before I was Christian. No adultery? Honor your mother and father? Not steal? Not murder?
None of that should be controversial

We are entering the culture war against the evil and depraved left who thinks my daughter should have to compete against and shower with men. This is a merciful act. They deserve much worse.

Never forget

85% of them wanted us to lose our jobs for refusing the bs "vaccine"

60% of them wanted us forced into quarantine until we complied

40% thought we should be heavily fined or imprisoned

30% wanted our children taken away

F em. Anything to drive the vile left from my state. The founders would laugh at this action though. They would have fought.

This is how you get any religious teaching as a mandate into public school. Dumb.

Want math with a side of Jesus? Go private. Pointless political pandering and why the GOP can't get real **** done or maintain momentum.

We've said the Pledge of Allegiance daily in public schools my entire 23 years of teaching. You'd think that we'd have to post the Constitution or Declaration of Independence before posting a religious document.

This is yet another stupid idea from our statehouse, put into action. It's great to want the 10 commandments respected/known, but it's stupid to think every Kinder-4th grader needs to learn about adultery, coveting women, and idolatry from their home room/art/music public school teachers.

This will lead to complaints about teachers discussing religion, which will lead to many unforced errors.

Could be the most necessary thing ever. These are the values our country was founded on and could be the beginning of a pathway to Jesus.

. and one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

These are my commandments.

Matthew 22:35-40.

Why should a public school be providing a pathway to Jesus?

I'm guessing you'd have no issues with a government-mandated pathway to Mohammad, or Vishnu, or the Buddha, or Satan?
