True, but not really relevant as providence does not have a "counties only" policy.
The city council supports Palestine. That's why it's being done. It's allowed because they can't discriminate against speech
Will be interesting if they maintain that stance when other groups petition tongue their flag up the pole. They going to let a confederate flag? What about one with historical importat but modern consternation like the gadsden flag?
Govt should fly one of 5 flags- national flag, state flag, county flag (if applicable), city flag(if applicable), pow/mia flag. I dont think it's a violation of free speech to deny ball flags but those listed govt specific ones.
