I like Marjorie Taylor Green, but I don't think she has a good chance of defeating Democrat incumbent Senator against Jon Ossoff in a statewide general election.

You want someone who can actually win. She will not win a statewide general election. Losing but losing with someone who will vote with Trump 100% of the time instead of winning with someone who will vote with Trump 95% of the time is not a win.

This is that same asinine logic that cost the GOP in Arizona the last several election cycles.
I agree with you. It's much more important to nominate candidates with the best chance of winning general elections than someone who votes with Trump 100% of the time. In 2022, the Trump backed Senate candidates did not win any of the battleground states in 2022, costing the GOP control of the Senate. Even in 2010, the Tea Party movement costed the GOP control of the Senate.

Someone needs to let GROK know it's Ossoff she'd be running against

Kemp is an easy win.

MTG is Hershel Walker 2.0.

I will vote for #1. I will not vote for #2. She is a national embarassment.
Nice.

An Ossoff voter.

What specifically about Kemp makes him a RINO? Policy related of course.

Nothing. He didn't lie for Trump and throw the election like he wanted. That's all.

If she can't win in the general she is useless. Or worse.

If you are interested in my thoughts on Kemp specifically, then start a thread and I will participate.

This one is about MTG and the 2026 senate election. My references to Kemp are specific in those regards and I am not going to derail on it.

Plus, my coffee is just now kicking in and I am not quite in a mood to put the dossier on Kemp together. Short story is I think he is slimy and reeks old school southern democrat running as an R to win Georgia.

To the OP/topic, MTG would be an epic disaster. Evidently there is a lack of Rs in Georgia who have interest in or are otherwise competent to be a US senator. Hence why I mentioned Doug Collins.

Practically zero chance she wins the GOP primary, imho, especially since she idiotically most recently decided to put the Trump administration on blast. A couple of posters above that actually live in Georgia I'd give better odds, and I am pretty sure they aren't running.

This is much ado about nothing, unless somehow the Dems manage to "Akin" this as in the notorious Missouri primary decades ago. (That was all dirty pool in the primary by then-moderate-pretender Claire McCaskill fwiw, to push him over the top in the GOP primary).

That's a shame. Kemp would have crushed him, probably by double digits. So its Kemp for Prez, 2028. I'll take that. DeSantis/Kemp, Kemp/DeSantis Yes please.

They need to nominate someone good. I will not vote for MTG, Hershel Walker or any other brain-dead Trump sycophant. I will vote for any other Republican. I've heard Raffensperger, but the orange moron may torpedo that like he did with both of the last Senate races here.

Can MTG use this as a campaign ad?

Sure. She'll get the GOP nomination and Ossoff will win the general.

Nominating MTG would be like peeing in your pants when you're freezing cold. Feels great in the short term... long term, not so much.

the GOP because they nominate the worst crazies of the party have lost at least seven winnable Senate seats in the last decade.

they don't call us the dumb party for nothing.

so as always, the establishment jerks bail out to make money or run for President rather than supporting the party by winning a Senate seat

and the primary voters choose the weakest possible candidate to campaign against weak leftists.

this has happened in Delaware, Indiana, Alabama, Montana, Georgia 3 times, Kentucky Governor, Alaska

Good. Of course she's mad about it, but ultimately it's the TDS/Dems who are hardest hit. And she's always mad about something.

President Donald Trump said the upcoming UFC White House card will be held on his 80th birthday. The mixed martial arts card, originally pitched for July 4, will take place on June 14.

"On June 14 next year, we're gonna have a big UFC fight at the White House," President Trump said during a recent military personnel gathering at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia. "Right at the White House, on the grounds of the White House."
