Clearly I think expelling a non-confrontational person from a press conference is in poor taste. The spokesman could have expressed compassion for the father, but took the opportunity to cry racism and injustice.

Personally, I think Anthony brought the weapon on purpose and put himself in a place where confrontation was reasonably anticipated they're could be a conflict and was waiting for an excuse to use it. Very sad and destructive.

The last thing our society needs is for us to finally push back and expose the racially divisive grifting of BLM activists, only to see the rise of their WLM equivalents.

I think the guy's days are numbered, whether inside of jail or out. This whole thing has become too outrageous, too many people are pissed now. But payback will probably be made by a calculated stone cold surprise sometime in the future.

This whole thing gets weirder and stranger by the day. This whole thing is a tragedy and it's being turned into a circus. I just hope that the parents of the murdered boy just take a step back and concentrate on him and the upcoming trial.

As for the family of the little **** murderer. I couldn't care less. Trying to portray him as the victim is just gross.

I can't imagine what I would feel if I were the parents on either side, but i hope that if my son had been murdered, i wouldn't want people to use it as a shield for their racism. I hope I would mostly want to focus on the peace and comfort and forgiveness only Christ can give and my remaining son's mental health.

I hope I would also ask race baiting grifters on either side to keep my child's name out of their mouth.

Look you're a poster I respect so I'm not trying to get into a fight here. I can admit I don't know what that kind of grief feels like. But... I see something and it looks like something and I should be ashamed because why exactly? A child died completely needlessly. It wasn't an accident. And the dad is out making statements decrying a stupid white supremacy protest and not the killer's family making it into a circus. It feels like picking sides, not "taking the high road".

If I found my dead child's face on someone's webpage so that they could try to make their political fame on racism, I think I would have very strong and unkind words for them.

The justice system is already in place regarding the murder. That needs no more words from the father, nor would it be advisable for him to make any statements in that regard.

Except he's made statements about the case, even some about motives. If he's trying to prevent legally impactful statements, he's made some big mistakes.

Sure, there's room for interpretation here (maybe he was advised to hold off and just spoke out of turn) but you're acting like his own words are beyond scrutiny.

Can anybody confirm 2 "facts" in this case?

1. Was Karmelo on the track team or not?
2. Was the murder weapon a spike cleaner or knife?

He was on the track team.

I don't think anything has been confirmed on the knife type.

Lots of "I heard" out there……. I heard that he wasn't even supposed to be in school, much-less a track meet..

There are records of him in races this year and his father testified he was on the track team. Possible he got kicked off the team before this meet, but not evidence I have seen showing that.
