he was in the biggest grossing movie for all of 1986 in Top Gun

he was the star of Jim Morrison, HEAT, the Saint, BATMAN

then he got cancer.

Toombstone was released on Christmas Day, 1993 while Schindler's List was released on Feb 4th, 1994. So in close proximity timewise.
